Here's the show debob was talking about in another nero thread (the nero! nero! nero! one). I'll try to use the work computers tomorrow evening for a few hours to get it going. Nero 2004-04-17

Also, to see the events for upcoming months, right now you have to click on say Jan 31 which will bring up the page for that day. On the top of that page is the option to change to another date (pick the date and then press Jump To and it will go there. The <> buttons can be used to move forward and backward by one day.

What's the criteria for shows listed on the calendar? I noticed that Ice Cube/Snoop Dogg is up there so I don't think it's restricted to just "jambands" which I think is great since it's nice to see a full calendar of everything available (sometimes you're in the mood for one thing, sometimes it's something else entirely).

There's one other consideration you might want to think about. The enclosures that take the big 3.5" drives pretty much all need to be plugged into the wall. If you want something that's more portable you'd be best to go with a laptop drive in a 2.5" enclosure that gets its power through the USB/FW hookup. It's more expensive, though, and the biggest drive you'll find is 200gigs which you may only be able to pick up online (I know Dell laptops have them but I don't think they're readily available in stores yet). That said, I'm about to buy a WD 500gb drive but I may now go for the $50 more expensive seagate one after reading this.

If it gets too difficult you could set up a form for entering shows which would then be moderated by AD or whoever volunteers for the job. If the show is acceptable, it gets posted, otherwise it gets dumped. That way lots of shows would make it up and the workload for AD would be much less. Good job anyway. I nominate bradm as also being a show putter upper (I'm not knocking your list AD, it's freaking huge and the best I've seen for ottawa and good job 'cause I've wanted that list forever, it might just make it easier).

Something I thought was kind of neat. I don't know if anyone noticed but check out the stickers on the box beside one of chuck's amps. I zoomed it in on the pic below but it's pretty blurry. Here's the irving plaza show on archive: Irving Plaza good job nero boys, you guys still in contact with them?
-
Hey guys, Just a little hello from the big apple. Last night's moe. at irving plaza was one of the best I've seen and I don't see how they can beat it but then it it new years tonight. There were a lot of tapers there last night so it should be up soon. Have fun, don't get killed and Happy New Years!

yup. I used some school computers for two days and put lots of posts here so if you didn't jump on, sorry. Hopefully some of the people that finished will jump back on. Talk to jakis, he's in TO and can just get you a copy. -

What the thunder Said is playing on Thursday (Slip Content)
mattm replied to Deeps's topic in Soundboard
What the Thunder Said is a great reason so far as I'm concerned, especially if you haven't seen them yet. Check them out on the archive or check out their myspace account. Slip are another good reason to go though I'm not all that familiar with them. -
It's working, the ALL HAIL HYPNOTOAD Hey Bouche, can you activate the add function for the calendar and let us play? I've tried hitting the button but all it seems to do is add a row to the table below it about 10-15 pixels wide that's blank (I'm guessing you already know this but I'm bored as hell at work).
-
That's what I'm talking about. It's a screenshot from another site. You hover the mouse over the day and it shows you the shows. Anyone can add an event but they're moderated (have to be approved). The one you see is december 31. You click on one of the events and you get the details.
-
yeah, how am I supposed to hypnotize anyone with the hypnotoad if my avatar isn't showing like that? I like the little calendar but not at the top, it would be better in the left hand side bar. Click on a date and it goes to the calendar. Hover the mouse over the date and it tells you the events for that day.
-
So what's this calendar that just popped up on the cavern page? Can I add some events to it?
-
I agree with slave and afro, the lineup is pretty good right now. If they have even bigger bands it's going to be wicked. I love to go on road trips rather than stay home and there's more than enough incentive already to be hittin' the road.
-
2.45 gigs I think
-
PS: I'm downloading the whole thing right now and I can post one big zip file a little bit later if anyone is interested, pm me. I'm downloading the entire site (jgb, phish, keller, etc).
-
I use free download manager. I put the address of the page with the list of shows into the site manager and all of a sudden I have a windows explorer type view and can just download all the folders. Works wicked. The even better part is that I put the address into the html spider tab of FDM and viola, it downloads the entire site, not just the JGB but all the songs.

Hummer Wins First Place in Environmental Design Challenge
mattm replied to Jay Funk Dawg's topic in Soundboard
That kicks ass, really. It doesn't use gas, though, so it most likely won't be made (yeah, pessimistic viewpoint but that's what I observe in that area, see Who Killed the Electric Car)
