  1. Please tell me that you can't be TOO sure about its accuracy...
  2. I'd like to know just who the hell this guy is!! (Not to say the guys care about having their music distributed for free, but if someone else is actually charging for copies???)... somehow that doesn't sound very cool
  3. His admission into my car is his guitar, oh... and a can of diet coke (my dirty little addiction)
  4. So does that mean Bobby is now excempt from cover charge? M, I'll try and remember to bring your sweater. Great to know you'll be hittin the hammer!!!
  5. BREAKING NEWS!!.... This just in.... MarcO is coming to Ottawa! Roll out the red carpet folks, it's time to tear up the rug!
  6. Radiohead at Call the Office??? That's sick!!
  7. I have heard that there is indeed no opener, which leaves things wide open for two BIG sets... not sure about the cost... See you on the dance floor! And Jaydawg, thanks for ruining my day by planting the seeds of filthy visualizations (at least make them satisfying....) Yeeesh!
  8. I'm glad to know that everyone is safe (albeit shaken). I live in the middle of nowhere, and I still lock my doors (I don't know if I'm safer or not being isolated) I watch too much crime drama, so I always lean towards paranoioa... but hey, better to be safe than sorry eh?

    I Need Help

I'm having visions of Willy and Alabama Man being chased down the stairs with the piana right on their heels... be careful there chums!! I wish I was stronger, but something tells me I'd be of little use. But hey, if you need a fore(wo)man, let me know eh?
  10. I would almost bet my life on the fact that you should be able to get in on the night of. I've never been to PJ's on a night where they had to turn people away. Having said that, you'd probably want to make sure that you're there by ten or ten thirty just in case! I know I don't have an advance ticket anways...
  11. So excited!! It was hard to keep this one on the downlow that's for sure! Congratulations on your perseverance. I thank you guys for countless good memories, and shakers. Some of my more memorable BNB experiences involve the old la luna, a hungarian community centre, new years 2000, the red dog in peterborough, and many come together festivals. It's always good to run into you guys, and I hope that you keep at it for another ten years! I speculate the night is going to have a real family feel to it. Not many people can pull that off in a venue the size of the opera house. You guys are rich in many ways!! Cheers!
  12. Agreed. Makes me want to shake, shake, shake!
  13. I wonder what ever happened to my Soup album....
  14. Me to! Heard he's on the run these days... Todd and I will see you on Friday!
  15. Congrats indeed. Glad to hear that everyone is happy and healthy!
  16. I've been at my "plan of study" all day. Hard to wrap up potentially four years of doctoral studies into one or two pages. But hey, I can't bite the hand that has fed me in the past. Keeping my fingers crossed... if anyone ever wants to exchange proposals for an outside opinion, let me know.
  17. Oops... sorry for the redundancy... don't know how I did that
  18. [quote name=The Chameleon Ya know I was real excited to see this guy live and he was very so/so I thought. I mean he did his job and was adequate' date=' but he couldn't hold a candle to EC, Trucks or Robert Cray. His solos seemed chocked and never really peaked with any energy. In reality Trucks blew everyone off stage, with the exception of Clapton. And Trucks even gave Clapton a run for his money. Agreed entirely!
  19. Funny, Todd and I were discussing something along the same lines after the show last night
  20. Yeah the show was on, and it was great! I saw Clapton back in 2001 and this show was ten times better! He was definitely energized and inspired to be playing with so many fantastic musicians. I never would have known that he had had to cancel his last show. I thought overall his vocals sounded great, and the two female backup singers filled things out perfectly. Derek Trucks is so bloody smooth. I couldn't get enough of him in the mix. No show-boaty stuff or nothing, he just straight up delivers the goods. Robert Cray for an opener was such a tasty treat as well. He also got up to jam with Clapton and the boys both once during their set, and for the encore. My goodness, that man can sing. He's kind of got a bit of Marvin Gaye thing going on in my opinion. And Eric, oh Eric... he was on his mark. After Midnight was definitely one of my many highlights. Hey Schwa, did I see you groovin in fourth row? I was sitting in the nosebleeds, so I couldn't be sure. Anyone else there? (Other than TimmyB of course)... thanks for the ride and company once again!

  22. ((((healing vibes for Eric)))) Come on people, start transmitting some of your infamously powerful skank vibes of wellness and good fortune!
  23. Oh no!! This is a downer. I'm supposed to be hitting him up in TO tonight. I hope he has had a remarkably fast recovery... not looking forward to sub-par. Mind you, as you said a little more spotlight on Trucks couldn't hurt either... So as of now, I'm assuming that the Toronto show is a go?
