    RIP Glenn Frey

ya how classy and bold... As long as you start a sentence with "no disrespect" than you can say whatever you want about a person and their life investment at the time of their death, and it's ok. Given his angle and needs not sure why he felt compelled to say no disrespect in the first place. A turd in a shiny glitter box is still a turd.

The Netflix History of the Eagles bit was a actually a decent watch. Made me gain a whole new appreciation for their sound in early days (which I had not been exposed to). Frey certainly didn't hold back on the Felder issue for that doc either

Wow. Bizarre. I'm not particularly an Eagles "fan" per say, but I like a lot of their music. Weird part for me is I just watched this last night http://dvd.netflix.com/Movie/History-of-the-Eagles/70267553 RIP
  5. Oooh...you guyssss. I'm not jealous. I don't have that in me...
  6. Hey folks, Acousticats (Acoustic Fat Cats) were asked to join The Grand River Ramblers at The Boathouse in Kitchener on Sat. Jan. 23rd. Should be a good night. Close enough to my bday so that'll be the night I let loose a bit. GRR's Webpage says 9:00pm...tho I suspect that start time may be wishful thinking....but who knows. Haven't been to the Boathouse since it changed hands and was reno'd etc. Heard its nice.
  7. Don't think I'm going to get there but looks like a fun time for sure... http://www.darkstarjubilee.com/
  8. It is a nice, and fresh looking line-up. Admittedly I prefer a little more psychedelia in at least one of the headliners...maybe a JRAD or Billy and the Kids or something...plus one other bluegrassy band and that would sell me. There's a number of acts on there that i haven't seen that I've been wanting to (e.g Rateliff, Gary Clark Jr., Isbell.... And you know I love me some CRB. An intriguing lineup that I will mull over for sure. Really enjoyed mountain jam two years ago.
  9. A true artist and trailblazer. Sad to hear. To release an album as a departure gift for the world is pretty moving I think.
  10. Ended up making it out. A fun night, pretty good turnout and great room. I hope this flies. Some tempo issues in the beginning but tightened right up and some great fluid moments. I dig the guy on keys. Oh the ping pong game to start the night off put a spring in my step. The cissy strut> that's whst love will make you do jam was a highlight
  11. Have some family emergency wrinkles but still hoping to potentially make it. Booche you bringing your hula hoop?
  12. Hoping to make it to this. I know nothing about this venue. Do you think the band will actually go on at 9:30 or is that when doors open? I'm all good with early, but just curious.

  14. My record keeping isn't quite so pristine...might not have everything here but covered some good ground. Some absolutely incredible experiences and shared moments. Grateful that I get to experience these things in life. Surprisingly the usual crazy onslaught of shows I want to see in the fall didn't really materialize this year...seemed slow compared to years prior. moe. (x2) Chris Robinson Brotherhood (x5) Tragically Hip Functional Flow Jerry Garcia Band Wood Brothers Willie Watson Cabinet Ekootik Hookah Lettuce Rumpke Mountain Boys ALO Trigger Hippy Joe Russo's Almost Dead x2 Widespread Panic Fare Thee Well (all three shows) Jerry Garcia Tribute show (featuring Jackie Greene, Steve Kimock, Melvin Seals, Bobby Vega, JM Kimock) Old Crow Medicine Show Tedeschi Trucks Band Sharon Jones Phish Magna Ball Avett Brothers Blitzen Trapper Dead and Company Plus throughout the year lots of great local stuff...I'm sure I am missing some here...e.g. Fat Cats/Acousticats, Diesel Dog, Bluegrass Brunches, Campfire Jams, jamland screening, jamland x2, Big Rock, Mark T Band Starved for more...
  15. Cool read http://rockonphilly.com/2015/12/joe-russo-talks-becoming-a-father-busy-projects-and-the-grateful-deads/
  16. Thanks for all the company and musical inspiration. Hope you're all feeling loved and surrounded by cheer.
  17. Nice read. Another great sounding set. I have to say though a Johnny b Goode closer has and always will be a pet peeve of mine. Out of all the songs that could be played...
