  1. Anyone going? We are. Woo-hoo! Anyone every heard of the opening band, Inward Eye? I guess they're from Winnipeg.
  2. I've used a place on behalf of a customer before and was pleased with them. I think it was about $500 and they provide a external USB drive with all the data on it. Worked like a charm. Send me a PM if you want the contact information.
  3. CBC says Conservative minority. The only silver lining I can see is that the Liberals are likely to change leadership. I just couldn't see them ever regaining power with him at the helm. I'm sure I'd enjoy his company and he's certainly bright but he's just not a leader. Who's up next? Bob? Michael? Justin? I look forward to Justin's time coming but it's many years off yet.
  4. Holy shit; that is a beautiful guitar. Wow.
  5. You bet yer ass i did. I'm ignoring the sarcasm. I'm dissapointed. No sarcasm font.
  6. [color:purple]I'll assume everyone is voting Conservative so that we can finally give those boys the majority they need to get some things done around here!

    Unemployed!

That's pretty much looking like a guarantee at this point isn't it? I heard the Liberals may not get enough seats to maintain official party status. ;-)
  8. Yup, Steve Howe is playing October 3rd at the West Side Theatre. I think I may need to check that one out.
  9. Anyone want to come over, get stoned, and listen to old Pink Floyd on vinyl tonight?
  10. Very sad news. Thanks for the music Richard; you'll live forever through it.
  11. ABSOLUTELY. Been doing that for as long back as I can imagine. I've also done "Shower Coffees" but it's nowhere near as relaxing and I always mind myself looking for whiteboard markers so that I can brainstorm something. How about this: Ever do the shower beers / sit-down shower combination? I love sitting in the shower with the piping hot water smashing at the back of my neck and an ice-cold can of Guinness in my hand. Pure bliss.
  12. That's great news. I think the like you were trying to provide is: http://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/

    YIPPEE!

I think that was my favourite thing to do the last time I played GTA. Inertia's a bitch baby!
  14. ...is absolutely awesome. I listened to several of their programs today and each time I was impressed with both their selections of music as well as the DJ's insight into said music. If this is the calibre of programming they intend to continue to produce this will hands-down be the best radio station on the air. Check it out sometime if you like music.
  15. I'd love to see you too Sheebs; and I certainly do love my Guinness. You say they pour a good pint do you? I guess I'll have to come to judge for myself. I'll see what I can do. Promise? That idea makes it pretty difficult to imagine missing the show! Hopefully I'll see you there!
  16. Apparently it is "a political term originally describing a rich political donor, also called an angel or big money man." I hope this helps.
  17. Yes, I'm sad to admit you now have the trifecta of advantage on me: looks, brains, and now hair. I'm very jealous of your long thick hair! And it's not just you that has longer hair than me now; it's pretty much EVERYONE. Save for Jean Luc Picard. I thought the show was wonderful. Tyler has a beautiful feel for the keys and his solos fell onto the songs like an afternoon sun-shower. Well done as always. I wish I had recorded it. It was also great to see everyone; it's been too long since I've been out.
  18. I'd drink all your whiskey if you ever partied with me anymore.
  19. God I miss that guy. He was fuckin' killer!
  20. We haven't met but I'm sure you're just SWELL! Happy Birthday little one. Perhaps some pictures?
  21. I'll tell you that owning a VW Van has never been anything but a positive experience for me. I'd recommend it to anyone. Just pack it up, get in it, and drive drive drive.
  22. Barenaked Ladies singer, 3 others survive plane crash CBC News Barenaked Ladies singer Ed Robertson and three others walked away from a plane crash Sunday afternoon in eastern Ontario, police said Monday. The float plane crashed into a wooded area near Baptiste Lake, north of Bancroft, early Sunday afternoon while trying to land, said Const. Tracey McDonald of the Bancroft OPP. Police confirmed that Barenaked Ladies frontman Ed Robertson was a passenger aboard the small plane. No one was injured in the crash and all four were able to walk out of the woods and report the crash, police were quoted as saying in the Belleville Intelligencer. Band spokesman Adam Smith told the Intelligencer: "Everyone is fine and that is the important thing." Robertson received his pilot's licence in 2005 and hosts a TV show called Ed's Up, documenting his travels by plane. It is the second time this summer that a member of the Canadian band has been in the news. Singer Steven Page made headlines when he was arrested in upstate New York and charged with possession of a controlled substance on July 11. Court documents allege Page admitted to snorting cocaine in his girlfriend's apartment. Page was taken into police custody, but was later released after posting $10,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 5½ years in prison.
