  1. I always thought the o-train would be fun to ride.
  2. If you could get either Moses Mayes or reband Recipe from a Small Planet you'd be set up nicely. If you're going for a wedding band...hmm...like a real wedding band? I've never liked those. hiring competitively priced wedding services can pale in comparison to talented peers or their contacts. How much does a wedding band charge for a night of entertainment? $4000 incl. sound rentals? this website might help: http://www.banffjam.com/
  3. I'm trying to find the name of a cartoon I used to watch on TVO as a kid. The premise is that it's a boy and his dog in a magical dreamland. The opening theme starts with the boy's mother tucking him into bed and turning off the light. Then, after his mother leaves the room and closes the door, the boy jumps out of bedand opens up a trap door in the floor that leads to a crazy slide. His big shaggy dog follows. The animation was not too unlike Yellow Submarine. I remember there was a big balloon the boy used to ride around to fulfil the plot of the episode from time to time, and lots of crazy psychedelic dreaminess. It would have been on TV in Canada (or possibly PBS in New York State) in the early to mid eighties. Sure that's 25 years ago...hopefully someone else has seen this, as it was a great cartoon.
  4. Holly was making some amazing music at the very end. It's a shame he got in that airplane. It would have at least saved us from hearing Don MacLean's 'American Pie'
  5. Obama isn't in Canada, and it is going to take work in Canada to change Canadian Law, and some degree of political free will.
  6. I think they're the best thing that's come out of Vancouver since Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet.
  7. I think that I've only heard about 1 in 10 of those acts. Is it true that there's no free trucked in water, or IS there free water?

    yayyyyyy God

Maybe... I'm so glad my life experience has brought me to understand blasphemy differently than the standard definition would typically allow. Kingdom Come - Indeed.

  10. Explosions in the Sky has got to be among my most remarkable concert experiences. In London, ON - Even with Call the Office's mono mixing, I was listening to things emerge from the clouds whenever I stepped back and closed my eyes.

sometimes it fixes the problem...though it is the individual that is praying that uses the power of prayer to change aspects of his/her self... ...which is often the real problem. and in some cases of frustration and unfulfillment, sometimes people on their knees solve it all.
  13. I would suggest finding an audio editing program that would let you speed up or slow down music so that you could just pick any song your little heart'd desire. (and...tungsten?)
  14. By joining the Liberal party, it doesn't entirely secure their vote. Party unity is not just a vote. If they were to, say, vote WITH another party regularly, or if it could be proven that they had other interests in mind during this vote then it would be understandable that they could be 'disciplined' for it, but that's a case of specifically breaking party file. It's not irrelevant that the democratic process would be jeopardized by their party, as this is the party that will most likely be next to lead this country. If this party leads the country under false guise of a democratic union then it would not only be a disservive to their rank and file, but also to the nation and every other nation that does business with and is under the thumb of our trade and any political vote that affects them. Not that we're the pivotal nation to hold together decency in the world, but we really SHOULD be, and it's plain to see that we have the opportunity to be. Party based voting is secondary to the rule of democracy and a vote for one's constituents.
  15. Isn't it entirely undemocratic to discipline someone for their voting choice
  16. You stuck your ass up in the air for them dude. The correct word would be GAPED. not raped. Either way, you still need to sit on a donut.

Compared him to Joseph? Like...he stayed with his woman when she got pregnant with some other guy's kid?
  20. No truer words have ever been said.
  21. Well amazing. Leave the next day, all day drive, chill in MT for a few days, meet some people...come back for the next week or make it an extended holiday. All the possibilities...
  22. "anthropologists, linguists, sociologists, political scientists, religious scholars, etc." Aah that makes sense. The foul hand of credibility giving rise to divide once again.
  23. in my defense, this came before the bearing whopper tell-all. And for the record, I don't smell like vaseline or margerine. my 2 for 5 whopper week happened in 2003. Aah the memories.
  24. TB - awesome call on the jerk wings...but that's kinda like cooking steak for Thanksgiving. I seem to recall that Northern Wish is the king of wings. Buffalo wings...lemmee see if I can remember... batter some wings (i think therein lies the secret) and deep fry them...however, I wiki'd Buffalo Wings and apparently this isn't a truly buffalo thing to do. put in oven to crisp after removed from fryer While crisping, make the sauce - Franks's red hot (cayenne sauce) and Margarine (or butter if you want to avoid the cancer...but margarine adds that 'Je ne sais quoi') shake. serve. Did I miss a step? I'd be totally into your wings, TB, as I would steak at Thanksgiving...but then again, there's every other day on the calendar (maybe not easter or christmas) that those jerk wings would be ideal. there's a 'bacon explosion' dish coming up on CBC Newsworld this morning.
