Although I doubt I'll ever watch that movie again given the Lindsay Lohan runaway train that left the station shortly after the film was released.

She's not on the show, so I was singling out this current unfunny smug cast, although I didn't find her newscast very funny either. I did like Mean Girls though.

It's still unsettling to me that SNL's comedy is really really putrid across the board including the news, but I'm also really thrilled that both Wilco and MMJ were booked and ripped it up on the show in the same year.

I won't mention the second song then, but it was a good version, albeit shortened considerably.

It was nasty and raw. I'm really glad they kicked it out.

The juvenile-delinquent skit is nothing more than a rejected Chris Farley vehicle with that unfunny fat black dude filling in.

And the laughs are few and far between so far, so nothing's changed.

Although, "One Big Holiday" would hit the uninitiated "world audience" right between the eyes with a big Flying V.

Since when? Maybe with established bands, but Wilco certainly didn't play an old hit. In fact, they did two songs I wasn't expecting them to do.

I doubt they'll play an old song, but I'd love to hear it. Taking an informal poll on the MMJ forum, the folks there are torn with the second song, but most think they'll do "I'm Amazed". There's far too much press and buzz surrounding this new album for the band to do an old song, plus they are very forward-thinking.

I knew about the show for months, but I let it slip because of other concerts going on. It should be interesting. They will bring it tonight no doubt.

I have no idea what Jim and the boys will be playing, but I'd wager "I'm Amazed", another great modern southern-rock anthem from their upcoming album and perhaps a truncated "Evil Urges". Heck, they may even air out something from Z or It Still Moves. Imagine the kids that still think SNL is important getting their faces slapped with "One Big Holiday" or "Lay Low"? One can only hope.

Let's make it a wicked Danforth restaurant. There's nothing good in the Massey Hall vicinity and I know the restaurants in my hood quite well.

Pretty sloppy first period with Philly gift-wrapping two goals, but the sloppy play makes for an entertaining game.

I saw Sufjan on Austin City Limits and the pretentious visuals and his wet-noodle music almost made me puke. At least he's better than The Decemberists. I can't accept his "stage of kites" act:

Yes Sharon, they are excellent seats. I'm in the first row balcony too and sat there for the recent Cowboy Junkies concert. You will love those seats.
