The thing is, rebounding has just as much to do with wanting to rebound as it is with having the ability to rebound. You gotta want the ball. I'm not convinced Bargnani will ever want the ball at all costs in the same way as noted rebounders do.

He'd never be allowed to do what he's being doing to this point of the season in New York or Boston, but Halladay's 4 complete games IN A FUCKING ROW - in an era where pitchers are lucky to get one a season - is staggeringly impressive no matter what scenario you want to throw at me.

I'm sure he'll sign as a free agent. However, is this kid going to get any better? Sometimes scouts recognize players that peak in junior and thus their stock drops accordingly.

I don't think you need to play in the majors to be a good coach, same as I don't think you need to be pro golfer to be a great instructor. However, the Jays hitting is terrible.

I post from time to time. This morning I commented on MMJ being labelled "southern rock". Some folks don't hear it. I think the "southern sound" is always in and around their music.

Halladay may have lost the game last night, but he's pitching as great as I've ever seen him. I can't believe he's pitched 4 complete games already this season and I share his disgust that he's lost 3 of them, including last night's 1-0 heartbreaker. With a new batting coach, I expected some fireworks from the bats this season.

There's lots of mud-slinging going on between fans on the MMJ fourm. The band isn't overly pleased about the album leak, even though they are they ones that are guilty of leaking it in the first place (via concerts and feature magazine interviews). However, I can see MMJ's point regarding "quality" of the downloads. Here's an "alleged" plea from the band regarding the upcoming album: hello all you fine and wonderful people out there that are interested in what we do. we now live in the 90's - the era of the interweb and instant gratification. these are confusing times for all humankind, but especially for those of us in the music world as you well know... a week or so ago we played some of our new songs for the first time at a show in houston tx! about an hour later all of those songs were available on the interweb- talk about speed!!! since those and other non-album audiovisual recordings are available to people on the interweb, we wanted to make at least one "real" song version available (if one was interested in what the "real actual studio album" might sound like) to those of you who have supported us most and have seemed most excited about what we are doing over the years. so here is the song "evil urges". we sure hope you are to enjoy it! we would put the whole thing out there on the interweb, but gosh darn-it, we're still a little old fashioned in that way of wanting the listener to be able to get the actual music when it is supposed to be released, when we say it is finished- not when someone else puts it on the interweb.... but it is the 90's now, we understand that. its a new decade and we want to be part of this decade, but whilst still maintaining a link to the past - where one can't necessarily get everything they want immediately when they want it, but rather when they are told they can have it - by their real life keeper or their digital daddy! we will play both roles here. we all personally relish waiting to unwrap that shrink wrap and smelling that fresh vinyl or compact disc plastic, mmm...that fresh cardboard and paper. or if we buy it off the interweb we all love holding our computers up to our noses and smelling those brand new digital downloads...mmm...fresh! gall durn it- we're just old fashioned that way. sometimes... gentle reader, in this age of instant gratification, waiting can be so rewarding, it can teach us a valuable lesson about the triumph of the human spirit... but sometimes, like our old friend tom petty said- waiting is the hardest part. thank you all for being so supportive of us, and unending in your love... from the bottom of our cold dead hearts! love, mmj!

We’re supposed to believe you sent her cash, took her on lavish trips in your jet and partied with her in clubs because she was a family friend?! C’mon! Do we really look that ignorant to you? Meanwhile speculation is, McCready is ready to start “bumping her gums†in an attempt to revive a career that was a blown apart by drugs, suicide attempts, an abusive husband, a “year in the canâ€, and charges that she assaulted her mother. Might was well throw the “sugar daddy under the bus†and ruin what’s left of his life in attempt to save your own. I like it! You should write a song about it…that’s about as country as it gets right? Look, getting after it with a teenager, while married with two kids of his own…allegedly…doesn’t mean he was “roid’ing†or “HGH’ingâ€. But, it’s not going to help him in his defamation suit against Brian McNamee. Not when the suit is predicated on him being family man, man on integrity and a “Great Americanâ€. Again, it didn’t have to go this way! Take Clemens’ little buddy Andy Pettitte. He lied…then owned a very small piece of it…then offered up an insincere apology, and now he’s made out to be the “Great American†Clemens fancies himself to be. Once again the cover-up is worse than the crime itself! Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to shoot over to Amazon to pick up some used copies of her CD’s…so I can look for those love missives in the liner notes.

The bigger worry is what to do with Bargnani. I don't think the Raps drafted him as a "project". He did nothing all year and has regressed to the point of being a non-factor bench player. If Bargnani proved to be the player he is supposed to be, then the series would be still going on. Don't think so? Look at the other players from that draft and how they contributed to their teams this year. Do you honestly think he will be an in-the-paint player? I don't. You can't teach hard-nosed.

It's a Saturday night in Toronto and it is the Black Fucking Crowes at Massey Hall. It's Massey Fucking Hall. Is there something in the water? What's the problem? It's hard to sell-out that venue if ticket prices are high. The Cowboy Junkies didn't have a sell-out for their goddam Trinity Session 20th Anniversary concert. Herbie Hancock had a half-full house. The Crowes haven't had a hit in seven years, if you think "Soul Singing" was a hit? I hope they sell it out, but I doubt it.

I'd be shocked if this sold out, but at the same time I hope that they do sell out the venue.
