    Nickleback News

He registered .14 and he was fucking speeding through a neighbourhood at 2:00am. What were the cops thinking by arresting him? If you've ever read or seen any interviews or even read his lyrics, you'd know quite clearly the guy is a fucking scumbag. He also has his own record company and the criteria for artists under his wing is that they have to collaborate with him whether they want to or not; thus, every band will sound just like Nickelback - I'm looking straight at you Ian Thornley, formally of Big Wreck. I'm telling ya, that's all part of his master plan: to infiltrate the world with bad nu-metal.

    HOT SAUCE!

For all you hot sauce lovers in the T.O. area or those of you that will be visiting here soon, you all should do yourself a favour and go to The 4th Sense on The Danforth. It's a really "cool" hot sauce store: http://www.hotsauceblog.com/hotsaucearchives/taste-the-4th-sense-store-review/
  3. If you think you hate the odd Toronto indie snob at the MMJ show, just wait until you get a load of the folks attending the Yo La Tengo and Stars tapings.
  4. Weighty Ghost is my fave The programmer friend of mine says that Wintersleep has 7 videos in the Much library.
  5. CanCon is a requirement - 30% I believe. I was just mentioning how they link certain styles together into a segment.
  6. The duo I just reviewed on the main page, Jon and Roy, would get airplay on The Wedge if they had a video or two from their new album.
  7. I've seeen all three in semi-regular rotation on Much.
  8. It is indeed' date=' with a big emphasis on indie.[/quote'] do the steelworkers fit the description? Yes, I think they do. I've seen a diverse array of bands on The Wedge. They play The Black Keys, MMJ, Band of Horses, The Spades... Basically, if they can get enough videos of a similar genre to fill a segment, they'll play it.
  9. The Yankees depth at starting pitcher is a problem. That is one of their only weaknesses and could be their undoing if they get injured.
  10. They play lots of Joel Plaskett, but thanks Greg for mentioning that excellent band. Glad they have a video.
  11. Well, I work for 6 music video channels that offer different formats, so I think videos and their "importance" is still going strong... or I'd be out of a job.
  12. I believe he's new to the Wedge assignment but likes good bands. I think he just wants stuff off the beaten path.
  13. And another wasted great outing from Doc.
  14. The programmer for The Wedge asked me to send him a list of videos from cool Canadian bands to air on this weekend's episode. I suggested Wintersleep (they already air their only video), The Weakerthans and Black Mountain. Help me out if you want or can - don't mention the usual suspects like Feist, BSS, Peaches or Sloan.
  15. 315 Queen Street East. Basically, it's on the south side of Queen Street near Sherbourne. You can get to it from Lakeshore and/or The DVP (take the Richmond turnoff at the bottom of the DVP).
  16. The crowd was more enthusiastic than I expected given it was an "industry" function.
  17. I see there's a $15.00 shipping fee. Bastards.
  18. The Raconteurs website is offering pre-sale tickets for the Montreal and Toronto shows. It's $43.00 plus $1 service, which is better than those TM bastards.
