I hate Pitt even more.

Gill isn't even the bad Gill. He isn't the component that makes the Leaf defense less-than-average. The Leaf defense is really really soft, and Gill is not.

Someone should put a "Tim McCraken" bounty on that fucker's head.

Pettinger has a better offensive upside and he isn't a weasel.

Also, getting Stasny and Smyth back is just like making a big trade and not giving up anything.

The Avs are going to be nasty if Forsberg can play at a higher than expected high level. They are finally healthy and Ryan Smyth is a horse in the playoffs.

He can skate, hit and fight and play defense and be a fourth-liner. A 5th rounder for him is about right.

JFJ was right when bringing up the contracts involved and cap room in the Richards deal.

If he had an existing three year contract, things with Sundin may have been different NTA wise.

A change will do him good. He would be a nice fit on a better team.

I'm all for the proposed changes: tearing down Kerr Hall and closing off all the streets and making the area student and pedestrian-friendly. Fuck that piece of shit Toronto Life Square, one of the ugliest new buildings Toronto and given where it is located, the most ill-conceived and designed. Ryerson is indeed "a mess". The Rogers Communications Centre on Church is sterile and barely functional, but given the ugliness of the Rogers headquarters on Jarvis and Bloor, it's not surprising that it looks and behaves this way. Ryerson has some nice buildings, but there's no flow to the school or sense of community. Of course, being the most urban university in Canada, it's a daunting task to contain the university vibe with the intersection of Dundas & Yonge just a half-block away.

I read Damien on a daily basis and watch him weekly on The Reporters on TSN. My biggest beef with him is that he's too reactionary. If there's a trend that he doesn't like at a particular moment (and that last bit is key), then he wants wholesale changes. He does it all the time. He can be annoyingly shortsighted and infuriating, although I think he's genuinely a good writer, even if I rarely agree with him, re: Ben Rayner. Oh yeah, Damien can shove tennis up his fat ass.

The same director, the great Chan-wook Park, did this film before his Vengance trilogy. It was extremely big in Korea and is considered one of his best films. BTW, he usually uses many of the same actors in all of his films, so you'll see a few in this flick from Oldboy and the Sympathy films: And I still stand by my recommendation of The Host. It's a monster movie for sure (and not really scary, but that isn't the point), but it's more about the eco-message and certain aspects of Korean politics, and the performances are across the board excellent (the female lead was in Lady Vengeance, J.S.A. and the male lead, Kang-ho Song, was in Mr. Vengeance and J.S.A.)

These are probably the same idiots that go and watch Max Domi Atom MTHL hockey games... and for some reason, young Max gets on the highlights from time to time on City news.

Does anyone know if the CBGB building is still there, with the signs still intact? If so, get down and check out this iconic club before it meets the wrecking-ball. It's also a few blocks from Greenwich Village, so you can head over to explore some fine bars and clubs afterwards.

Hey KK, when you watch Galactica, don't forget to watch the stand-alone movie Razor that they made last year. It fucking rocks. NOTE: watch it after you finish all the seasons, although you don't have to. Catch it between Season III and IV.

Don't the Flames have enough Kilger kind of players? I see them with an Antropov kind of player. Jokinen would look great in a Flames uniform.

No problem Funk. They are easy to find too. All but 3-Iron were big international hits (although 3-Iron won a bunch of awards). Oldboy is the most famous and remains hugely influential, even moreso than Host (the Korean all-time box-office champ).

Dealing Antropov makes sense.

Korean cinema has been particularly hot for the past 5 years or so. Check out these films sometime (the first three are part of a trilogy): I cried my eyes out in this one. Wonderful film though: Hugely successful and excellent monster movie with an eco-twist: Strange, but interesting film:

Rent-a-player plays a role. I remember Sundin being critical of Bourque back when he signed with Colorado, so this isn't something new. I believe him.

I don't think Mats has a malicious bone in his body. There's no way he wants to screw with the team and the city that has embraced him for so long. And I'll say it one more time, Mats hated Ray Bourque's ambition as a rental player.

Sundin was extremely critical of Ray Bourque when he jumped to Colorado as a Cup rental. I find this decision indicative of his character.

"Falling Slowly" isn't the best song on the album either, even though it's the centre-piece of the film. I think Oscar could have taken three songs off of Once and dropped those boring Enchanted tunes instead. It would have made the vote a lot tougher.
