  1. ollie, you watching later? don't wanna ruin anything.
  2. It's like Spurs/Fulham this past weekend. I don't (much) care who wins, I just want a quality match. Spurs/Fulham was a great game for a neutral supporter. But yeah, Jenas? Man, he still around? Oh well.
  3. Really looking forward to Spurs/Inter this aft. Zhirkhov's goal yesterday was, apparently, the first goal scored by a Russian against a Russian club in Russia. WTF kinda stat is that?? Still, pretty cool. Real looked very strong vs ACMilan yesterday. I want a Chelsea/Benfica matchup, cuz a buddy is Benfica, but after we beat them, I want Real. Mourinho got us last year, won't happen again. :chug:
  4. spoiler later in this post, don't read if yer taping Chelsea/Spartak Moscow. WOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 2-0 final, Zhirkov and Anelka. 3 for 3 so far. And, nice for Terry to play a good game, perhaps now he can forget about falling over in the 08 Final (same building, new turf). :chug:
  5. Happy birthday, Kanada Kev. all the best. :content:
  6. WTF? Me and Booche agree on something? Meatstick sucks. :content:
  7. Eat it! No way in hell that trade happens. (unless Souray became a top 6 forward in the summer?) :content:
  8. Away we go. Win or lose, methinks this season's gonna be a ton of fun. :chug:
  9. The possibility of a scam is there, to be sure. However, it is Craigslist. Set up to meet. Meet. Make exchange. Not going into alleys in Parkdale or anything, but don't imagine I'm gonna get scammed. I'm not paying with a credit card or paypal, just cash in person.
  10. I bear no responsibility for the poster, but thought I'd mention it. Craigslist has a 4 pack for 12/31 for $125 per ticket, $500 total. Can't do it myself, but IMO, not a bad price for 4 of em. Just being the messenger.
  11. Happy birthday Bob. all the best. :content:
  12. sounds like a fun one, ollie. Sadly, I watched Benfica lose to Schalke, which really wasn't very entertaining at all.
  13. Happy birthday, Alan. all the best. :content:
  14. Thanks for posting that, badams. Great read from a class act. Stay gold, Cito. :chug:
  15. Good result out of Stamford Bridge, Oly Maresille had no hope. Looking forward to Schalke/Benfica today myself, while counting the minutes until Sundays match between Chelsea and The Filth. :chug:
  16. After that weekend of utter Premier League madness, to come in here and find nothing? Anybody actually watch soccer around here? Oh well, Champions tomorrow, time to get Chelsea back on track, at home, vs Oly Marseille. Suits me. Oh, and De Ro? You may be the best player on TFC by 6 miles, but if you are supposed to be a leader and have just been officially eliminated again from any chance of attaining playoff status, perhaps that's not the time for snide hand gestures about wanting a new contract, huh? Eat it. We can miss the playoffs with anybody on our team. You are supposed to do better. As a player yer great. Nobody is really irreplaceable on a losing team.
  17. Of course it did. Thanks Blue Jays. Still, way to go Jose. :chug:
  18. What a tournament! Utter madness. Chelsea, Spurs, City, L'pool, all dead. That was a fun Chelsea/Newcastle match though, despite it all. Up 1-0, down 3-1, drawn 3-3, then Ameobi with the winner. Now, to focus on City away this weekend. 7:45 EST is a killer, but I ain't missing that. :chug:
  19. Not the best result last night, but good fun. Thought the Armstrong/Versteeg combo had some good moves, and I do like this Rynnas cat in net, though he didnt do great last night. Wonder when Kessel's gonna play? Im going Friday, vs Philly, so hopefully he plays then. Hoping for a better result tonight, though not expecting much. :content:
  20. Ah, I understood extra time to be time added on. Didnt occur to me that it was actually extra time as in extra periods. Makes much more sense now.
  21. Well, Arsenal/Spurs? Did Nasri really get 2 extra-time penalties? In the same extra time? Poor ol' Pompey. Still, could be worse. Could be Everton. This is one of those days I wish I had pints here at the bookstore. Gear up for Chelsea later. :chug: :chug: :chug:
  22. Yay! Carling today. It feels odd to say, but I can't wait for Leicester vs Portsmouth today. Then, of course, Chelsea vs Newcastle tomorrow. Man U vs the mighty Scunthorpe ought to be pretty funny. Arsenal vs Spurs? That's pretty mouthwatering. Villa got someone good too, can't remember. And, can Everton get a result vs Brentford? C'mon 2pm, hurry! :chug:
  23. Happy birthday. all the best. :content:
  24. Ah, what a lovely weekend. Nice to see Berbatov with a good performance, I was disappointed when he went to Old Trafford instead of Stamford Bridge. 4 point lead after 5 games? Loving it. Midweek Carling match v Newcastle? Also great. Finally getting to play a decent team next Saturday? Priceless. Plus, Man City beat us both games last year (still haven't figured that out) so now, time to hit them hard. Geez, even TFC won this weekend. :chug:
