I don't think that's the argument. What subforums do is foster discussion on the theme. There have been more political discussions spawned by the politics forum than if it didn't exist and politics was left to the general forum. Same goes for sports, food, etc. I agree that the audience discussing the topics is smaller and that's a shame. I really wish people would make an effort to visit the subforums. It might seem like a pain in the ass at first but I really believe it will become second nature if you give it an honest chance.

You're not concerned that people are choosing to slowly kill themselves? You should be very concerned. Why would people choose to do this? Because people are stupid and we're all going to die. The whole "slowly killing themselves" is a bit much. You can say the same thing about someone with an unhealthy diet. Or someone who drinks too much booze. Repeat after me' date=' "We're all going to die". I am concerned though with people that kill themselves because they're depressed. Or because of societal pressure. I think that's completely different than someone who takes up smoking. Sure, I'd be concerned to a point but ultimately people are going to do what they want to do. It's important to be there for your friends and family but you can't let it take over your life.
