  1. Hope you have a great time and all the best! Don't be a stranger should you find yourself with an internet connection.
  2. We gotta work that into this weekend's theme.
  3. Happy Birthday Dave!! Looking forward to the weekend festivities.
  4. Lasagna from Nico's Pasta in the food court at 240 Sparks. That plus salad and garlic bread for $6 flat is a good deal.
  5. Will this make Becks the highest paid soccer player in the world?
  6. I played youth soccer and my team was always the worst in the league. One particularly hapless season for "The Wanderers" saw us win only one game. Thing is, the other team was short three players so our coach offered to even out the sides instead of having the other team forfeit the match. And yes, I was one of those three players. So I basically got beat by my own team in the only game we won all year. Players from both sides were giving me hell after the match. Boy did I ever hate my coach for that.
  7. I'm going to bring 5 sets of this DVD to the show on Friday. If you otherwise have no way of obtaining the DVD send me a Private Topic and I'll put your name on one of them.
  8. I've seen The Musical Box perform a few two night stands, both at The Spectrum in Montreal, the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, The Grand Theatre in Quebec City and various venues around the Ottawa/Gatineau region. My favourite was probably the pair of back-to-back shows I saw at the NAC theatre in May-ish '97. Originally we were only in for the first night but it was so good we bought tickets at the last minute for the Saturday show. This was back when TMB would veer of course a little and throw in some bonus encores. It was a Selling show but we got a Can-Utility encore the first night (after The Knife of course) and Fountain of Salmacis the second. I still remember how blown away I was by Salmacis. And if that wasn't enough, "Peter" flew at the end of Supper's Ready! Back-to-back shows are so much fun and I can't WAIT for this weekend!!
  9. Crosstown Traffic is the original and best as far as I'm concerned. Definitely make a stop there. Tell the owner I sent ya! Address and map here: http://www.crosstowntraffic.ca/
  10. That ZZ Top song always makes me think of the closing credits of ML Wrestling. "Under Pressure", I believe. "Gino Carabello for President!"
  11. I always admired their comeback but the music never did anything for me. Had an iconic role in the rap/rock crossover scene. Should probably be lauded for their effective use of video.

  14. Hey Matt, when I burned this as a DVD Video in Nero it warned me about the .bin file but told me that it was automatically being excluded.

  20. Looks like The Slip's indie phase of December '06 didn't quite pan out. I can't wait for the next round of interviews. "We were never an indie band..." Ha ha. (Just having fun, don't take this post seriously anybody.)
  21. The guy on the left looks like a thin Ron Jeremy Where do you think his other hand is?
  22. That was a great comeback against a team and goalie that's had our number for a while. Great team chemistry these past few games.
