Two points of information: - if you go with Bell you don't get the local Rogers 22 channel; nice to have for their municipal affairs programming... plus, '67s games! - Rogers still carries HDNet; I love their Sunday concert marathons. An anecdote: - I actually find Rogers support line surprisingly responsive.

Do you have an old VCR, or perhaps a DVD player that burns discs as well? If so you could use the "Copy to VCR" option on the PVR. I attempted one solution for copying from PVR to hard drive, using the firewire port on a MacBook Pro. I was actually able to capture video from the PVR but it was all scrambled. I got frustrated and haven't revisited the project. If anyone has got this working I'd love to hear your story.

Fuck that was a great game last night but it still really stings to have lost it.

One of our cats has had chronic licking/bald patch/hairball/vomit issues for most of her life. The vet has prescribed various treatments over the years: new diet, prednisone, shots, anti-anxiety medication, creams, etc. Nothing really worked. Expensive allergy test revealed nothing. Eventually I got tired of seeing my cat being treated as a guinea pig on my dime so I just stopped taking her to the vet. If not better she's doing no worse than when she was being treated. But, yeah, take your cat to the vet. Hopefully it's a treatable condition.

The show is loaded with gems like those, the hour just flew by. So cool that they had footage of the Caps/Rangers game that was only 3 days old. I liked the scene with Ovechkin lying on top of Brandon Dubinksy after their fight: Dubie: "Good job buddy!" Ovie: "Good job buddy!"

If there's one thing I learned last night it's that hockey players like to swear. A lot. Amazing show.

Short notice but 24/7 starts on HBO tonight at 10 PM. It's a 4 part series chronicling the rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals leading up to the Winter Classic. I'm sure it repeats during the week if you miss it tonight.

Interesting. I always forget how close I live to the Heritage brewery. They are lousy with the marketing. Hope this improves the local beer scene. As much as I like Beau's I think there should be more than one big kid on the block.
