  6. FREE Femi Kuti this weekend Saturday July 4, 2009 Meet the Artist - 3:30pm Concert - 9:00pm "Femi Kuti returns with a generous, powerful and timeless new album Day by Day, continuing to explore and push back the frontiers of Afrobeat music. Day by Day is Nigeria in all of its states: Elaborate instrumental patterns are found in both texture and in structure (“Demo Crazy.â€) Refrains as soulful as the best of old Curtis Mayfield hits (“Eh Ohâ€) set light to any dance floor. His group, Positive Force, built the foundations in Lagos. Femi’s young son, Madé, also joined the adventure, participating in all the tracks on this delicious album." Also: FREE King Sunny Adé at 6pm! http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/worldroutes/festivals.cfm?id=1191 "King Sunny Adé and his band, His African Beats, continue to weave an infectious blend of electric guitars, synthesizers and multi-layered percussion. Born to a family of Nigerian royalty, Adé left school to pursue a career in music."

  16. Nice work! The world just became a better place
  17. What an incredible weekend of debauchilarious good times I am back in my cubicle with no voice, perma-dirty fingernails and scented with eau de campfire. My eyes are half closed but my mouth still can't wipe its Ghost Town smile off. Thanks to Mark and Rick and all the awesome musicians and vendors and everyone who made it happen (and also to everyone who came for being so happening, despite frigid temperatures). There were tons of new folks out this year, and lots of familiar faces as well. I can’t tell you how awesome it was to be jarred from my mid-day-2 mesmerized stupor by the sound of Miranda’s voice announcing “cheeseburgers†over a megaphone. Instantly I snapped to attention and got back in the game. Another CTMF victory!!!
  18. I just found my new band name... "Hoofball Control"
  19. What do gay horses eat? ... ... ...
  20. Settle down kids... I'm sure we'll all be in fine form for the Crowning, whenever it happens to take place. I've got a secret accessory-supreme for my outfit so be ready to step it up! Can't wait to see you all
  21. Whoot whoot! Thanks for always bringing folks to the next level Rev. Your age still has a way to go in catching up to your wisdom. Nice work!
