I've got Allison doing the kids craft workshop, Scott shuttling shit around in his van, Shane doing all the catering (all local foods!), and Doug from PJC providing some entertainment. Who-ah!
  2. I've played the island and centennial. Both great I'm not very good, but I've never lost a disk!
  3. Damn, she is? I did a workshop with her back in Sierra Club days and hung with her many times afterward. She never once mentioned religion.
  4. And don't worry. Those undies <<< <<< were not a result of this place.
  5. Serious. Veggie or meat; dis place is da bomb! If you're on a date, be sure to take it out and go to Trinity Bellwoods or something. Not the most romantic place in town. (I usually go there when I need to mow down, all messy and solo like!)
  6. Oh, sorry. I saw "Toronto Tacos" and I thought someone was trying to find Carrie. She moved to Kdub a while ago.

  14. I go to Venus Nails on Bay Street, a few blocks south of Bloor. $35 for a manicure AND pedicure, including polish. If you go later in the day, they can usually do both at once and get you out within an hour. I just got one last week so I won't go with you this time, but it's often more fun with a friend, as the girls who work there don't speak much English. If you go with a pedicure only, bring a magazine or something to read.
  15. Yeah, I know Dev from Caution Jam shows... he was very gracious in letting us take the Basher look-alike pic.
  16. 200? More like 500 Dude. Glad to get to spend some birthday time with you I want to see the B-Basher pic!!!
  17. Come one, come all... (and bring me your booze!) Promise Sunday Afternoon Soundsystem Special Cherry Double-Dip Canada Day Tuesday July 1st, 3 to 11pm Today's lineup: Ted Dancin’ - funk and disco Leelee Mishi - sunshine house Rollin’ Cash - beach breaks and triphop Dalia - hiphop, electro and dubstep Samba Elegua - live samba drumming Matt C - sunset house Lee Osborne - twilight tech house Directions: Take Lakeshore Blvd East just past Parliament to Cherry Street. Turn south down Cherry all the way to the end. Then go east into the parking lot on your left. Follow the bike path or the new path along the water... you'll hear music. If you end up past the soccer pitches, you’ve gone too far. If you end up at the point, you’ve gone the wrong way. Biking to Cherry Beach is easy along the trails beside the lake, and there's a TTC bus that goes from Union Station right to the park. Things to think about: Please don't bring more than you plan to take back out with you - leave no trace. Bring something warm (it gets cool after dark by the lake) and something to sit on and also something to keep sun off your head. Take care of the people around you. Drink lots of water. Bring something to share. Contributions to Cherry Beach: Last summer we passed a hat to cover expenses, and it worked very well. This year we've added a Paypal button to our website so you can make these parties happen without having to chase down a hat. Any contribution is welcome and will directly affect the quality and ease of the afternoons. Think about a one time amount that will cover you for the summer - we suggest anywhere that's comfortable from $20 to $100. To do this please go to ilovepromise.com. Thanks!
