  1. nO, his name is Kevin.. he's angry too though!
  2. Guigsy, next time I see you I'm going to break your glasses! I have a friend who lives in Guelph. He knows about the Slip show.
  3. Now that is some useful info! At least you got to say something in another Slip thread.
  4. I liked SCI when they were bluegrassy. I liked the A String Cheese Incident disc. All downhill from there for me. They moved into jazzy (junkily) and trancey (junkily) and basket-weaving rock (junkily). Oh, and Keller Williams should have fired his horn section years ago! I will never watch another Keller solo show, even if it means slightly turning my head to the left.
  5. Let me guess, Jeff Martin will appear to be not happy to see anyone out at the show. He will be on stage and look around the place as though he would rather be anywhere else on the planet. He won't smile because he has long ago decided that he looks the coolest that way. He won't show any enthusiasm over the entire evening. He will play some wacky wind up wooden box type instruments and carry on as though he was the one who actually invented the apparatus. The tabla players will wish they toured without him.
  6. Yes, good night out at teh Last Drop. That place is a crowded mess though. London definitely needs a new jammy venue. Superfly sounded great as usual. I'm really looking forward to hearing Tralmarz again. They had a floaty psychedelic sound which I really dig.
  7. cost is not an issue in this particular case. (buddy gets it free somehow..) Easiest to get to the venue I think is key.
  8. What Holiday Inn would be best to stay at: 1. 370 King Street West (Close to Spadina) 2. 111 Lombard Street (Close to Jarvis) 3. 280 Bloor Street West (Close to Yonge)
  9. Ron james' show - was that called Black Fly? Never watched it.. looked like it might have been funny... if I was 65. I nominate: Kids in the Hall Trailer Park Boys Corner Gass Oh, and MarcO is cringeworthy!
  10. Hostel. Not nearly as good as expected. Amateur, low budget. I like the idea of it but they could have done a better job. Now I hear there's a Hostel 2 coming out.
  11. The show last night was super! Don and Michael really put on a show. Definitely saw some bass playing by Michael Manring like I've never seen before. Each song a mind trip. Don is a exceptional guitarist who does a good job in keeping the crowd focused on the music and also laughing with his between song quips. The Bellamere Winery is quite the venue. The wooden cathedral ceilings made for a nice ski lodge atmosphere that kept the sound crisp. Sold out at about 250 people. Not a bad seat in the house. My recording sounds pretty good. I also took some photos which I'll post some time in the future. Those of you seeing the show at the CBC are in for a treat. It will sound great in there. Definitely looking forward to the next time Don Ross comes to the area.
  12. Sounds like Kanada Kev's jeeaaalooooouuuss!! Jeez, just realized what that photo up there was. Mr. Politically Incorrect as Steve Irwin getting stabbed by a ... thing.. I forget. That's bad!
