M
Happy Birthday!!! My birthday was yesterday and I like to take the " Birthday week " approach to celebrating... seeing as not everyone can always make it out on the actual bday celebration night. Highlights of my birthday week so far have included: > Wednesday night advance bday dinner with friends at my favorite restaurant in Toronto. > Thursday night went to the opening night of my cousin's play which he wrote and directed, then drinks at the Cadillac lounge and then checked out the most INCREDIBLE bar I have ever been to... "Stones place" in Toronto. The owner is an old friend of Mick Jagger's and it is a stunningly beautiful bar. Gorgeous antique furniture, beautiful persian rugs, framed unique stones memorabilia throughout. Stones music playing the whole night. Ended up partying late night with some friends at the owner's place upstairs which was decorated in tasteful rock and roll decadence. > Headed to Montreal on Friday and saw my roommates play... Burt Neilson Band @ Le Swimming ... so much fun!!! > Saturday headed back to Toronto and tore up with my sister (who's birthday also falls in birthday week) and friends. Party went til 10pm Sunday night! > Yesterday dinner with the family at my other favorite restaurant. > Tonight, tomorrow, Thursday will find me out again seeing tons of great music coming through T.O. this week and then hopefully head to one or two of the nero shows this weekend to end it off! Have fun!!! Remember it's the start of a new year so start it off with crazy good times the rest of your year will follow suit!

arcane
I did the same thing this year as I do every year: The week's laundry. The folks in the office all figured out it was my birthday, though, since The Mercenary sent me a rather fragrant bouquet of flowers. I visited him the following weekend, and he surprised me with a couple of career-related hardcover books (coffee-table sized). It wasn't so much the gift of the books themselves that I found touching, it's the fact that he noticed and remembered that I wanted them.

Ronda
My birthday was sunday the 30th of march. Usually I look forward to celebrating with a concert (most often ratdog or ekoostik hookah) but this year it will be nero in chatham. With the help of a little bit of "junk" the night should turn out just fine!
bouche
Happy 1-day belated birthday Bradm! I sure hope the jam was fun. I just found this post today. I'm always happy that my b-day happens on the long weekend in August pretty much every year, so there's always plenty of time to GIV 'ER! PS: the disc you gave me sounds pretty damn sweet. I'll hopefully remember to get it uploaded tonight.
