I just noticed that the Steve Kimock Band are playing the Opera House in Toronto on June 18, 2004.

YOU BASTARDS!!! Now that Stevie has moved to NY... I'm sure you'll get to see him on fairly regular occasions. I AM SO JEALOUS!

SKB are, IMHO, the most amazing jamband anyone could see live.

HE IS GOING TO SHRED WHOEVER SHOWS UP!!!

I will be keeping a CLOSE eye for reviews on this show... and I hope you all get absolutely KILLED (in the best possible way) and report back on the unbelievable RIPPING!

well damn, if YOU guys are all going then i think i don't really have a choice! it's been too long. i agree the opera house is a sweet venue, only been there once and it was 2 years ago (remember when you guys had that weekend-long party on lisgar, blair? i do believe that was the birth of the original ROBOXY!!! one of the funniest episodes of my life! and instagator with the policeman helmet at MMW... priceless)

is that where phix played? i'm pretty sure it is.

They are amazing! If you get busted smoking a pipe, they give you a ticket, and you retrieve your pipe at the end of the show!!! (thats amazing)

They have nice sight lines, a nice balcony, decent to good sound, and a great raised stage with nice crown moulding around it.

It could be one of my favorite 'dingyier' venue's in Toronto. I never complain about the Opera House! What dont u like about it?

Just across the street there is a lovely bar called "Jilly's" I like to drink there before shows!

I also really like the Operahouse, I've never had that many problems there like I've had with the Phoenix, Guvernment, Warehouse ect.. Still this show would have been WAY fuckin' better at Palais Royale!!!
