darth_taiter
Good morning and hello good people, Allow me to introduce myself, I am Darth Taiter, otherwise known as the drunk guy at the Nero and Moe shows in Ottawa..... hold on.... that doesn't distinguish myself.. Anyways, Bouche, I noticed that your fav album was Let it Be. With all due respect, I hear where you are coming from, however I seriously wonder in my drunken state how you could put this album above Abbey Road? Just something for you to think about, we could always discuss this over a 24. Cheers,

Jaimoe
I don't like Spector's production on Let It Be. I don't like The Long And Winding Road or Get Back either. They are good songs, but they've never sat well with my ears. Let It Be is a flawed masterpiece.
Esau
Let It Be is a flawed masterpiece. Agreed. We also share the same favourite album.
hamilton
I'll bite. 1. Rubber Soul 2. Revolver 3. Please Please Me 4. Help! 5. A Hard Day's Night 6. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 7. Let It Be 8. Beatles For Sale 9. With The Beatles 10. Abbey Road 11. The Beatles (The White Album) 12. Magical Mystery Tour Clearly, I lean heavily towards mid- and early-period Beatles, although trying to rank Beatles albums is kind of like trying to rank which beers I like best. Even my least favourite Beatles album is better than a lot of other stuff by a lot of other artists. I'll admit though, that I could reverse numbers 1 and 2 on any given day (ditto for numbers 8 and 9).
dave-O
So what's the consensus on Let It Be... Naked? Improvement or sacrilege?? I loved it and it pushes Let It Be way up the list for me. But Revolver can't be touched IMO.
thatpatguy
who are these "Beatles" that you all speak of?
bouche
Let It Be was one of my first owned Beatles records and it came to me at a time when I got my first electric guitar.I spent alot of time listening and learning through that record, and well, I have a deep affection for it.Let it Be: Naked is a GLORIOUS piece of work. I'm going to have to put that on tonight!thatpatguyThe Beatles were a quartet of liverpoodlians that came together with a shared love for skiffle. When they realized skiffle sucked, they moved on to a more enjoyable jig known as 'American Music'. Later in life, one of the founding skiffle lovers was shot, likely because of a scuffle over skiffle. The remaining members were all placed in a witness protection program and never heard from again.(1)1. Except for Ringo. No one can seem to get him to shut the hell up. Hey! Were you the guy in the trench coat waving around a flask like nobody's business? If so, I applaud you for the jedi mind trick you must have played on Barrymore's security. purple foot
white album is pretty far down that list. 1. white album 2.rubber soul 3.abbey road 4.revolver 5.let it be 6.sgt. pepper 7.help 8.magical mystery tour 9.beatles for sale 10.the Anthology soundtracks. just for the outtakes and interviews. I'd also put the white album outtakes up there but its not an official release. love hearing those tunes stripped down, lennon at his finest, happiness is a warm gun?? come on. white album is the best one for that tune alone. darth_taiter
Ollie! Sorry can't take credit, I did try that one at the Grey Cup though. I may be able to slide Let it Be to number 2, for sentimental reasons also, and on the strength of Across The Universe.
