Jaimoe
My cousin emailed me ONLY a few minutes ago. He said he is " 100% A-OK ". I phoned his parents who still hadn't heard from him. They are soooooo happy right now. This is the best present I've ever recieved. Thanks for the good karma and vibes everyone. Shaine - I'm sending vibes to you and your family. I hope that everything turns out well.

Freeker
Great news Jaimoe, glad to hear he's okay. I got ahold of my friends last night over MSN, they were both high in the Himalayas when the earthquake hit. Back in Delhi now, she said that according to the news over there the death toll is more like 40,000.

TomFoolery
My brother is in Phuket right now and is fine. However, he's told me that its a complete mess - and Thailand wasn't badly hit compared to some of the other countries. I've gone and thrown a bit of cash at the red cross to try to help out. Its not much, but its something. If you're interested, here's their website. You can make secure on-line donations for as little as $5. http://www.redcross.ca
