CyberHippie
You get a call from Phish management informing you of some upcoming Canadian dates. They are looking for one of our up an comers to open some shows. Who do you pick? I've been struggling with this question all morning. Don't ask why... It's kinda tough though. The band has to have the right music, it has to work in front of a very large crowd etc... I can't narrow it down to just one, here's what I got. *Grand Theft Bus *Wassabi Collective *The New Deal (I put them in because they probably have the most experience playing larger crowds as well as they already have a reproir with Page.) Ms.Huxtable
Wassabi is a great pick. After Frontier Town, I am a really big fan of theirs. But, my heart strings gotta go with nero. I'm sure after moe.down they'll be packing houses on their own though. Big, big things in the future for those guys. *fingers crossed* That's one tough question to answer with all the great bands we have up here in Canada. Man we're lucky. Jaimoe
The Trey Band has openers too. Who knows. And to answer Davey Boy, since I don't live in Kingston anymore, I wonder if Booche will call me: The greatest slide guitarist in Toronto?

Hux
I think Phish should open for BGH.
MarcO
The New Deal, no question. They may not be "up-and-comers" but they would zap the crowd into hyperspace with little difficulty.
shainhouse
Cavern! (I can dream) probably nero.
secondtube
Jukejoint. They just might come out of retirement for that gig. Not too mention, blow all the hippies away....again. Hell, trey might even learn a lick or two.
Mr. Musicface
Wassabi or nero, methinks. Do Phish ever have openers anymore anyway? Peace, Mr. M.
Jaimoe
Blue Grassy High will be the opener. All other bands need not apply. Simply the best band in Canada. Actually, Phish would be fools to have BGH open. They'd be upstaged!
Booche
"Simply the best band in Canada. " That's like saying Sammy Sosa doesnt cork his bat! Are you into the sauce at work this morning?

CyberHippie
No, I'm sure Phish will never have openers. I was having strange Phish dreams this morning though, which got me thinking...
