De La Soul - 3 Feet High & Rising

De La Soul - De La Soul Is Dead

you stopped listenng too soon :)

how about this gem from the headiest of the hiphoppers:

I didn't stop listening too soon. I've got every album they've put out, and while Stakes Is High is a much better album than Buhloone Mind State, I feel it can't hold anything up to their frist two records. Besides, my list is obviously far from complete, but I didn't want to take up 4 or 5 more pages :) (plus I had to catch my bus)

fair is fair. i disagree about the first couple albums being the best, but i agree they are great nonetheless. lets just agree that de la soul kicks ass.

de la aside, here's another favourite i couldn't be without:

I don't have the Mos Def/Talib Kweli record. I sorta fell out of hip hop for a while and have been just getting back into in the past couple of years.. digging through the underground (screw that Nelly crap). I'll check it out.

and yes.. De La Soul = kick ass! (regardless of the album, cuz even their worst is better than a lot of other records out there)
