I had just never tried putting the bacon in the grilled cheese before, then again, I never really ate grilled cheese all that much growing up. [/quote'] Leftover (cooked) peameal bacon in a grilled cheese sandwich also works, especially as it reinforces the grilled cheese sandwich's primary purpose as a delivery mechanism for the ingestion of ketchup.
