From Timmy: "Ryan Adams (title unknown) I'm just guessing he'll release something this year"

I bet he drops a minimum of three albums this year.

I totally forgot about The Raconteurs new album. Jack said it was different than their last (he says that all the time, but he's always right) and it's heavier.

Drive-By Truckers - Brighter Than Creation’s Dark

I'm happy to report that this has now gone from being highly anticipated to being in hand and thoroughly enjoyed and man does it set the bar high for '08 sweet

Check out the review on allmusic.com or anywhere, shit! I can't believe what critical praise these guys (and gal) get. Finally, I don't feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

OH YEAH!!!!!!

The Soundtrack of Our Lives are allegedly releasing their follow-up to Origin Vol.I sometime this winter or spring. Ebbot said it was their "heaviest" yet. I can't wait for this either!

Whudja think of Volume 1? I thought it was okay, but nowhere near as good as Behind The Music.

I liked Origin Vol. I, but I think it suffered from "follow-up to a breakthrough album syndrome". Some songs off Origin are fucking great rockers and it has a few nice acoustic tracks too, but I think they blew it with their arrangement of lead-off single "Big Time". At its core, "Big Time" has all the elements of a a great song, but it never takes off; however it does live. I wish they had another crack at recording it. I think if you listen to Origin again, you may like it more than you thought you did.
