thomson
What a treat - that was nice and humbling. In addition to the eclipsed moon we had thin spires of white light beaming from the horizon upwards in the western sky. Reminded me of the northern lights, but not the vague waving kind you get down south, more like the northern lights of the north. Anyone else see that? geomouse
So cool. Up here its just coming back into full sun on the southern rim and wow it really gives it a three dimensional shape with the shadowing effect. I'd like to watch the rest of it unfold but its way too damn cold!! See you in 2010!
boiler
That was really cool. I mean cold to stand out there. The stars had an extra brightness last night to go with the eclipse. Beautiful. My brother, up in Pembroke, took these photos last night:

phishtaper
it was spectacular in Guelph. a very clear (and cold!) night. all the stars were out and the edging was quite sharp. those are really cool pics, boiler rat. does he have any of the red moon in total eclipse? that was my favourite part. "humbling" is the same word I thought of too, thomson. wicked awesome. thanks Sarahbelle!
