Don't worry it's the Collingwood way. Nice and classy up top, greasy and dirty down below.

Awesome.

Should be fun....some out of towners can stay here.

backbacon...you coming up for this? You talking about Diesel Dog at the Christmas party was a small part of why this is happening!

that place looks way to classy for diesel dog.

Ya, they've got tablecloths on the tables!!

This is awesome!! Unless this is St Patty's Day - it's not is it!?!? If it isn't, Mud and I will be drivin' over from the Sound.

LMNO - you coming to this? DO IT!!

Ola -

Anyone from up there able to answer a couple questions??? I've never been to Collingwood.

1. since its a ski town does that mean the bars are always full?

2. whats my best bet for accomodations? ideally it'd be a chalet with a hot tub, but finding them for 1 night doesn't seem easy... there's likely to be at least 5 of us...

thanks for the help.

The bars are definetly not always full in town. For chalets I'd check http://www.bluemountainlodges.ca/?gclid=CNL5j-6C3ZECFQo4FQodvkkBew although I've never actually rented one myself. Hope that helps.

J

EDIT: Also, most of the chalets for rent are at Blue Mountain which is about a 10 minute drive from the venue.

Keep in mind that this gig falls in March Break ..so all accomodation is pricier in an already pricey locale.Staying at the mountain is probably only ideal if you want to ski. Also if crowds of people babbling and swinging skis and snowboards around and driving like idiots makes you want to punch people in the back of the head...just don't bother.

Try this..

http://bluemountainchalets.com/indexes/index.htm

and look for Cranberry village rentals..it's actually just on the town limit as opposed to being at the mountain.Cabs are pricey and ridiculous to try and catch up at the village..so staying in town limits is a better bet.

If you just want a couple of rooms ..pm me and I'll give you the number of where to call. You've gotta do it soon though!!

Depends on your price range and tastes.

The venue itself(The Huron House) is fantastic.

More casual(although the HuHo isn't stuffy) try Duncan's,60 Hurontario.

Bit more upscale..try right next door to the venue..Azzurra Trattoria.

just pub fare..Beaver and the Bullog on first.
