Jay Funk Dawg
Buddy owned the fatback drumming style. He also did a cool colaboration with Santana - but it was definitely his work with Hendrix that inspired me. The 2 vocals / guitar / drum / bass sound that the Band of Gypsies did is by far my favorite work of Hendrix - raw, sophisticated and soulfuldamn them changesrip

Jaimoe
I didn't love Buddy's work with Band of Gypsies (I agree with Jimi), but I did love Buddy with Electric Flag. Still, his drumming was heavy and generally excellent. R.I.P. Buddy.
FOWL
that is so damn sad. I love the Band of Gypsies. Such a solid, and mind blowing band. Funky yet far out as well. NewRider
I remember seeing and meeting him at Gathering of The Vibes 2000 or 2001. His smile could light up a room. He was one heavy dude though!

phunkyb
I remember seeing and meeting him at Gathering of The Vibes 2000 or 2001. His smile could light up a room. He was one heavy dude though!I remember that GOTV, it was rainy and muddy and Buddy Miles kept coming out to play. He also requested a song and snuck in with Hornsby for The Way it is.He was the Whore of the GOTV that year forsure!
