Kanada Kev
McCalluf (sp?) on the score last night on Antropov:"They want him to score a ton of goals so they can trade him for picks"Perfect. Hope he scores a lot and gets traded before he injures himself.
ForbinHood
Grabovsky is looking great so far. Whenever i see Grabovsky play all i can think of is Sergei Berezin.... anyone see the similarity?
Hal Johnson
Hope not! Mind you, that mindset of score, score and score is kinda what the Leafs need out of at least one guy this year (other than Antropov).
Kanada Kev
Rock and roll! I only got to see the end of the third. But sweet win for the Leafs. Van Ryn fucked up by scoring for the wrong team, oh well
ForbinHood
This team is a hell of alot more fun to watch than last years debacle.
Hal Johnson
http://thestar.blogs.com/thespin/Damien Cox:But isn't it about time Leaf fans and local media started looking at their hockey team realistically, rather than believing in the latest two-game win streak?Fair enough, if those two wins are aginst LA and the Islanders. But when its Boston and Ottawa? Its called being a fan Damien. You know, the temporary feeling of enjoyment one sometimes acheives from watching a sporting event? That and you'd think his writing would get less hackneyed over time...[color:purple]way to take a different angle on things Edited October 27, 2008 by Guest

Hal Johnson
Hey remember that time in the playoffs when the Leafs beat Ottawa 4 times out of 4? Gets a little old, doesn't it?
AD
it must get old for you, sure, considering ottawa's success and toronto's ineptitude over the past years. but hey, don't mind me. you've got a parade to plan, right?
Kanada Kev
Ad, you MUST know by now that the Parade Planning Committee operates 24/7, 365 days a year. It is NOT news that a parade is being planned! What is ALWAYS exciting, is when supposed "ineptitude" gets to beat out Ottawa's supposed "success" on the ice (and other "top-tier" teams' true success as well ... e.g. Detroit) Also, remember that most people who follow the Leafs in their hearts and minds KNOW that there is absolutely no chance to win the Cup this year (and most likely next year). Smaller successes, therefore, are much much more tasty and enjoyable during these times. So, we will take your advice and not mind you at all AD. In fact, we'll find tons of enjoyment from you ... honest

AD
hey kev i hear that. i'll take a small success right about now... 2 small successes in a row would be a miracle. us ottawa folk haven't had any of those for what, 10 months now? Kanada Kev
Now you're talkin'Khabibulin ain't takin' the Sens to the Cup (if they get him), just like Sundin (if he returns) won't take the Leafs to the Cup. Reality bites, but you can still find enjoyment along the way (especially along the parade route ) Edited October 27, 2008 by Guest
Hal Johnson
But what about Edmonton's run to the cup a few years ago...if we can just sneak into the 8th spot...where's Plomox when you need him?Hey, you know what AD, I think it's high time the lot of us get together for a Leaf-Sens game. If your talking to the boys from Nero, you should tell them to re-unite again on a Toronto-Ottawa weekend.
Kanada Kev
Hey, you know what AD, I think it's high time the lot of us get together for a Leaf-Sens game. If your talking to the boys from Nero, you should tell them to re-unite again on a Toronto-Ottawa weekend. It would have to be in Ottawa since you can't get tix here, and they are readily available in the Nation's Capital. Feb 28 Mar 9 Are tix half-price those days??? I'll likely afford these sooner vs.
AD
tickets will have a 20 or 30 percent premium for leafs games, no chance they'll be half price.

Kanada Kev
At this rate the Kanata Arena will be 75% Leaf fans. Maybe more!Mind you, lots can happen between now and then (like about 40 games )
