Let's help find Wendell!!!

A Kangaroo is on the loose near Kemptville.

Three-year-old Wendell escaped Saunders Country Critters after a fence was knocked down by a falling tree.

The Bentley wallaby is about 30 inches tall.

Another escaped kangaroo was found about 20 minutes after the incident, about 18 kilometres from the zoo.

Saunders Country Critters says Wendell could be in a barn or other outbuilding.

holy moly, i gotta trade in my vette and get me a kangaroo[/quote']

That's less that 60 km/hr - I'm sure a vette could do better!

that may be true, but riding in a 'roo would be so much cosier.

besides, i didnt say it was a corvette. it's a chevette.

There’s gotta be a typo there, no way a wallaby can move that fast in an unfamiliar environment

unfamiliar? who's to say they hadn't broken out of the slammer previously on a reconnaissance mission.

ever hear of Hogan's Wallabies?

From National Geographic:

Giant Prehistoric "Kangaroos" Killed Off by Humans

The 1,000-pound (500-kilogram) prehistoric ground-sloth-like marsupial depicted here—Palorchestes azael—was among a handful of Tasmanian megafauna species driven to extinction by human activity more than 40,000 years ago, new research says.

The August 2008 study challenges previous research suggesting an ice age killed off the giant creatures before humans arrived on the island.
