c-towns
and why are they standing so far apart?i know that there are a bunch of cameras 360°around whoever they shoot. perhaps Anderson can't go within that diameter or he'll mess up the hologram. just a guess. So much for my Hologram pron idea... d_rawk
So much for my Hologram pron idea...We can improve the technology, and God willing, we will.I am also of the opinion that this has important sexual uses too significant to ignore. Freak By Night
CNN's holograms not really holograms
rubberdinghy
The CNN anchors were not really speaking to three-dimensional projected images, but rather empty space, Kreuzer said. The images were simply added to what viewers saw on their screens at home, in much the same way computer-generated special effects are added to movies. So it was bullshit. Velvet
One of the things that I found weird about it was how good it looked on tv. Y'know how tv looks strange when you see it on tv? There's a syncronization difficulty, in the tv's broadcast in an every-2nd-line sort of way as I understand it. So I was amazed at how good the hologram looked on tv. The true explanation clears that up.

Velvet
For the record, I didn't see the hologram things you guys were talking about, I only saw the 3-D White House thing and I was pretty sure it was only us that could see it. What amazed me is how far a tv network felt they had to take things to capture an audience, especially on the biggest news day in a decade. bouche
What amazed me is how far a tv network felt they had to take things to capture an audience, especially on the biggest news day in a decade. They took it as far as lies. Holograms are not what they did. Special effects and video merging are not holograms.
Freak By Night
I would argue that Sept. 11 2001 was the biggest news day of the last decade.Who's got my heady California Sunshine?
phishtaper
AC was laughing about the holograms last night. I think cnn also realizes it was a bit of a joke.
