AD
http://lysten.ca/lystenfestival/So apparently there's a very poorly advertised and severely thin-lineuped music festival at the Ottawa baseball stadium September 24-26. Has anyone even heard of this, let alone know anything more that what the sparse website shows?Looks pretty weak and amateur-ish.
bradm
The Sadies list that they're playing at it (their listing is here), but the festival doesn't list them. (In fact, I found out about the fest through The Sadies' website; I haven't heard any other mention of it.)I hope it works well.Aloha,Brad

AD
Thank you sir!In other news, it looks like things are a go, but geez, nothing like leaving it to last minute. The Sadies are always good to see, but I doubt I (or many others) will attend this. Thanks for your interest in our event. The Festival is this upcoming weekend. Originally it was supposed to be Sept 11/12, but had to be pushed back 2 weeks due to some logistical reasons with the Stadium and the City. Land of Talk was originally set to perform that weekend, but unfortunately the new weekend does not work for them....too bad for us! \The Sadies had gone ahead and put us on their site while we were working out the date changes, that was kind of them...they have since been added to our site under Artists, but we hope to solidify the time they are performing early in the week.Tickets are available online Monday morning, and can be purchased at the gate.Advertising is in full swing now, with ads on Live 88.5, radio interviews, newspaper ads and on-campus street teams.Hope to see you at the Festival. AD
... Although it seems like Sloan was heavily rumoured or announced when the fest was Sept 11 & 12, along with Arkells and Malajube. Sloan is recording now with no tour dates until after Thanksgiving so I doubt they'll be in Ottawa this weekend.
