bONES
I've been hearing good things about the Toronto band Ride The Tiger. They keep packing the Dakota Tavern, but I have yet to go see them. Anyone been to see them live? Thoughts?
thatpatguy
I don't know anything about the band, but that was a pretty decent cover. I'd go check them out on the merit of that video alone (but then again, I'm a soul freak).

bouche
Who else thought this was another Charlie Sheen thread?I certainly did. He's got tiger blood. I think that's in reference to the womanizer tiger woods....but whatever.
TheGoodRev
I've seen them and know the bass player. They are a great, great, cover band, if you're into all the Motown/Stax/other early funk/soul you can handle. My only complaint is there's only a single horn player. But the vocalist kills, rhythm section is airtight and deep-pocketed, and they always bring a big-time party. Was close to hiring them to play my wedding.Go check'em out if that's what you're looking for!

I will look out for their shows. Doesn't seem to be any on the immediate horizon though.
TheGoodRev
I find that they're not big on long-term announcements because I think they play pretty often...if you join their facebook page you'll get announcements during the week if they're playing on an upcoming weekend...they tend to play the Dakota and the Piston a lot I think.
