They now have Joshua Earth playing on the 9th at Bluesfest.Sorry 'bout that.I think you were right the first time - I've read that the Bluesfest site is closed on July 9, so this might be a show somewhere else. Perhaps inside the theatre at the War Museum or another venue. Anyways....
Hartamophone
What is the lawn at the Molson Amph like in terms of sight lines, sound, etc? Obviously pavs are preferable, but is it like SPAC where general consensus is that the lawn is God awful and only the domain of thieves and gluttons? jaybone
I've seen tons of shows on the lawns at Molson Amph.If the weather is good then you will have fun.Sight lines and sound are pretty good- Nothing like SPAC. It's a fairly typical amph- Always better under the tent, but on a nice night it can be pretty nice to be under the stars by the lake.
phorbesie
i have only seen a few shows there but it seems like your typical amphitheatre lawn.i plan to be up near the front though, to hopefully witness something crazy :surprise:

Hartamophone
I am hoping to do SPAC and Toronto as well. I don't think I'm going to do PTBM for SPAC, though, as I don't want to get stuck with lawns for that show. I'm not completely opposed to being on the lawn, but I want to at least try for pavs with on-sale and re-releases first, and don't want to end up having extra lawns that will be tough to unload. Basher
Yeah I would never do lottery for SPAC. I've got a connection for tickets, but I will try the public sale too for back-up.
Hartamophone
I've had luck with the lotto there in the past, even ended up in the fifth row in '04, but I'm not going to take the chance this time around. Like I said, if I end up on the lawn then so be it, but extra SPAC lawns are money down the toilet.

TURF in Toronto is looking pretty good for that weekend but I haven't bought tix yet b/c SPAC keeps popping in to my head.
ollie
So I was reading on another message board that the GA pit area at Molson Amp shows is strictly alcohol-free. Can anyone confirm or deny?
