Guest Low Roller
For live shows I frequent this blog regularly: http://livebootlegconcert.blogspot.ca/They have tremendous SBD quality recordings of a variety of bands. The recent My Morning Jacket show that they posted highlights how awesome the new material is, and how it seamlessly incorporates itself into their repertoire. I would recommend just surfing around that site looking for cool stuff. This blog also has a ton of wicked stuff: http://100greatestbootlegs.blogspot.co.uk/The live Traffic show from 1970 is pretty spectacular for instance. Again, surf around and explore. Here are some albums that are playing in high rotation for me:- I Love you Honeybear- Father John Misty (folky singer-songwriter)- Space is Still The Place- Bright Light Social Hour (Psych Rock)- After the Disco- Broken Bells ("Indie")- The Bones of What you Believe- Chvrches (Electronic)- American Slang- Gaslight Anthem (Rock)- The Idiots are Winning- James Holden (Electronic)- Busca Oro- Pueblo Cafe (Spanish Hip-hop)- It's Blitz- Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Punk rock)

Northern Wish
Nice, thanks for that. Ditto. I found a pile of recordings from fests I have attended! I currently have MMJ from Hangout '15 and Bridge School '13 cued up on stereo.
Northern Wish
The new Alabama Shakes is also a nice listen. It was a slow burn for me, took me a couple of listens but now I can't get enough. For those that like their rock a little more ballsy- check out J Roddy Walston and The Business. hamilton

I'd never heard of these guys before yesterday. Their newer album is awesome. Lots of T.Rex and Kings of Leon in there. Solid rock and roll. Northern Wish
I've really been digging these two albums lately and haven't heard much about them 'round here: All Them Witches - Dying Surfer Meets his Maker Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats - s/t (not the album, but a 48 minute show with some live stuff)
edger
I've been really digging Nathaniel lately. My son and nephews can't get enough of the S.O.B (some wholesome parenting on my part). Which reminds me, meant to ask on here whether any of you guys have checked out this doc in which he is also featured. http://austintobostonfilm.com/I thought it was a nice watch. It was also the first time I was introduced to The Staves...holy moly soothing soaring rockaby harmonies. Three sisters...check them out.
