  1. Even the CD/DVD drive doesn't recognize the discs. When I click on Drive E:, it tells me that I need to insert a disc, despite the fact that the disc is already in. Everything works fine and dandy in a cd player, though. There's an extra ring around the outer edge of the discs that I think may be causing the problem. I read somewhere that I could use a non-permanent Sharpie to black that out, but I'm rather hesitant to try that approach.
  2. Hola. I'm in the process of FLAC-ifying my CDs. Problemo: I've come across one that is copy-protected; EAC and CUE Tools cannot recognize it as an audio CD. Can someone tell me how I can get around this? I tried using ISObuster, but it still didn't recognize the disc. Thanks in advance!
  3. That *is* pretty cool. Now I just need a band to play it for me...
  4. I use Chrome exclusively, but I don't have a url deal thingy in the bottom left of my screen. Just the one that says "Wating for jambands.ca" or whatever, but of course that disappears when the page loads. I haven't installed any extensions.
  5. So... that was a pretty awesome show last night! Colin James was super cool (with the exception of one cringe-worthy song titled, I believe, 'Nothing is Better Than Freedom'), and Los Lobos SMOKED. No Cesar Rosas, though. I wonder what was up with that?
  6. Alice Coltrane, Huntington Ashram Monastery.
  7. Eric Dolphy-Booker Little Quintet, At The Five Spot: Complete Edition.
  8. I wish I had been in town! Only saw them once before, 1991 maybe? Good stuff. How was the show?
  9. Happy belated! Hope you had a great day!
  10. There's also a new Garcia Band release available for pre-order. Tasty, I'm sure.
  11. Beautiful. Those are all awesome shows!
  12. Kulemin re-signed. Smart move. He played well all year, but didn't score like he did in previous seasons (I suppose losing all of his friends in a plane crash didn't help much). Let's hope he can get his mojo back!
  13. Happy very-belated birthday!
  14. In addition to Brad's suggestions, I would also recommend: Erik Truffaz Gary Burton John Scofield Kenny Garrett Larry Coryell Pat Martino
  15. Way to go Sara! You've been working at this for a long time... glad to hear that you've arrived at the other side! Hope to see you soon!
  16. It's supposed to sound like 10/22/71. Because it is!
  17. Not a comedy, but we really enjoyed The Killing, which just ended on Sunday night (we still need to watch the finale, though).
  18. Corb Lund would totally be worth seeing.
  19. R.I.P. Mr. Cosey. Get Up With It is one of my favourite Miles Davis albums.
  20. I used to sit in my grandparents' house and thumb through the anthologies for hours on end. R.I.P.
