    TEQUILA!!

Sweet. Thanks for the tip Brad. I totally missed that until now. Friday night at the Rainbow it is.
  4. Considering how much the Boss, Neil, Sting and the like are charging these days, it's really not so bad. Don't get me wrong, that's a lot of money for a concert, but Cohen hasn't toured in the last decade and the venues are tiny.
  5. That's what running a tab is for.
  6. He's on tour again because his agent ripped him off for $5 million and left him with about $150 000 to his name. Sad reason to go back on the road but I'll take it. I am really excited at the chance to finally see Leonard.
  7. A friend of mine may be leaving his one bedroom apartment on Florence sooner than anticipated, and it could very well be available for April 1st. It's carpeted but very clean, lots of closets, an open-kitchen/living room area, basement for storing stuff, and it is on the ground floor with parking and a little spot to put a few chairs and chill out back. And it is under $900 all-in. Does this sound good to you?

    TEQUILA!!

Better hurry on back then... I've had a couple days off the drink after killing a bottle of Grey Goose and that Don Julio is starting to look pretty tasty!

I just saw them at Barrymore's on Tuesday. They played to a 3/4 empty bar and ripped it up. It was turned up to 11 the whole time. We're talking vintage Motorhead level loudness. If you like your blues rock raw, ragged and downright dirty, you'll have a good time. Definitely worth the $15 they were asking.
  11. Nice write-up! Sounds like a great show.
  12. Bought it today. Listening for the first time now. My God...
  13. I started a thread about this a while back after catching it at the Bytowne with the lambinator. I loved the film, it had a few weak moments but overall I have to say I was pretty impressed. It seems to draw strong reactions: some love it, some hate it. I appreciate that it takes a lot of chances, many of which pay off, to my mind. I would far sooner go to a movie that challenges the audience and risks alienating a portion of it, than just another ho-hum docu-drama or syrupy cheese fest. If I wanted more of that I would just watch "Walk the Line" again.
  14. How about Danny Michel? I'm not a fan but people seem to like him and he draws a good crowd.
