  1. he'd be playing the big outdoor stage, from what i surmised. could be wrong though for sure. i don't think the full list was published, as the citizen article i read only showed about 5 artists, while the real list is about 70 bands long
  2. Nope, sorry. Once I stopped looking at the sheet of paper I went back to being in the dark, although with some vague memories of some of the words written on said paper.... I am working on getting the list though... Stay tuned. (No promises)
  3. Lidstrom had ball surgery and came back to play http://www.thestar.com/Sports/Hockey/article/652689
  4. i thought this thread was going to go into penthouse letter territory after reading the title
  5. The website says the lineup will be released June 24, which is stupid because I saw the list yesterday. It's done. Maybe there are some scheduling and ticketing issues to deal with but I saw with my own two eyes a giant list of artists, in a Government of Canada press-release folder.... I imagine everyone who went to the press conference got one, so why hasn't someone released it? Why wait? Increase the hype now. Geez.
  6. The Black Keys are playing Bluesfest on July 8th, according to their website. It's not on the Bluesfest website yet but that's a sweet score.
  7. there's jazzfest there's bluesfest there's folkfest there's rancid / rise against this friday there's acdc and metallica and green day and britney and charley pride and bachman-cummings etc there's propaghandi next week there's MSTRKRFT there's a lot.
  8. i remembered another of the big names: Lee Perry
  9. having never been to the ale house, i'd say 100% the Metropolis is a better venue.
  10. jay are you talking hardware or software? there is new hardware (3G S) which will run the new software (3.0). and as I understand it the 3G iphones will run the 3.0 software but there are a few limitations due to the differences in hardware or something between 3G S and 3G? i dunno. my cellphone is old school.
  11. Proclaimers George Clinton Matt Mays RJD2 Kid Koala Arrested Development i'm forgetting tons of names, my apologies. The press release should be online soon I imagine... Tons of local bands, which is nice to see.
  12. The lineup for this Blues in the Market things is awesome! I can't find the lineup online but just read the press release at the friendly neighbourhood record store... Nicely done. Now, to see what the schedule is. Hope there isn't any / much overlap with the festival proper. Last thing I want to do is commute between Lebreton and the Market...

That's a ridiculous lineup. By far the best lineup for Canadian festivals this summer, as far as my tastes go. Too bad I can't make it. Grr....
  21. I shall be there. Look for my Bonnaroo preview to grace the fine pages of Jambands.ca in the very near future.
  22. if you drop off the application at your MP's office it goes in a different and faster queue, plus you don't have to pay for postage.
