    Colbert vs O'Reilly

    i was so disappointed.
  3. saw him at coachella a couple years ago, he played mostly digital ash stuff and his band was The Faint. I thought it was kickass. I think I'm one of the 3 that like Digital Ash over that whiny album. Although Lua is a great song. I also love The Faint.
  4. I already said I'm leaving tomorrow. But thanks for thinking of me phorbesie.
  5. hicks with sticks? you don't know what you're talking about. (and considering you don't like hockey you'll probably agree).
  6. i'm in houston right now, but leaving in the morning. bring a warm coat, the weather is facked down here. i don't have any suggestions, i've been so swamped with work that i haven't got out much. i do know that the Houston Aeros are back from a road trip and are playing a few games in the next week, if you're a hockey fan. check pollstar for some shows too.

  8. i guess you're right. but then again when i wrote that i didn't know what team he played for.
  9. wow, that's more hype than even jaydawg can dish out my two cents - the album is decent, a bit over the top and convoluted in places but listenable, definitely loud, never seen them live but would definitely like to.
  10. what do you mean that Alston was a 30 pt liability? he and bonzi wells were the most exciting players on the court. the arena was sweet. the cheerleaders were really hot. so that was good.
  11. ps. The Suns won by 11 or something.
  12. So the game was tonight BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING What a snoozer. The Suns barely showed up to play. They could have crushed the rockets; when the played how they wanted to and didn't turn the ball over, they absolutely killed. But it was sooooo boring. And super short too. I don't think I'll pay to see any more basketball games. I'm a hockey fan. Americans can keep their boring baseball and basketball.
  13. ...but you can't go. Arcade Fire to play for area high school Chris Lackner The Ottawa Citizen Tuesday, January 16, 2007 One of the hottest Canadian bands, the Arcade Fire, are treating Canterbury High School students to an impromptu concert. While the Arcade Fire's upcoming five-night stints in Montreal and New York sold-out within minutes, the indie rock super-group is offering an informal concert at Canterbury's school cafeteria on the evening of Friday, Jan. 19. They are donating their time to support the Canterbury Arts Centre Development Association, a charitable organization that raises arts funding for the Ottawa school. Bandmember Richard Reed Parry, both a guitarist and percussionist with the group, was a 1995 graduate of Canterbury's literary arts program. The Montreal band's critically-acclaimed 2004 album, Funeral, brought them international stardom practically overnight. Their new album, Neon Bible, is set to be released on Mar. 6 and is one of the year's most anticipated releases. The city's pending 15-city European tour has also sold-out nearly all of its dates. Tickets for the Canterbury show are open to students, grads and CACDA members, and can be bought for $25 at school lunch hour today and tomorrow. There are limited tickets remaining and none will be sold at the door.
  14. it's on regular cbc on sunday nights in HD so nobody downloaded the whole series?

    torrent question

in utorrent you stop the download (use the stop button) right click, change location of files, and point to the new path. although alabama man's suggestion is by far the easiest. the torrent file doesn't affect your ratio, just the files that the torrent points to.
  16. welcome aboard! check the calendar for most shows coming up in ottawa. zaphods has live music most nights, as does the rainbow, and avant-garde. I think Mavericks does 3 or 4 nights a week, but their usual fare isn't the regular stuff for most on this board. babylon has regular shows as well. if you're downtown you'll most likely have heard of all these places, but if you're in the suburbs it might be a bit more difficult. anyways, enjoy yourself here!
  17. i'll sign Gang of Four and release the new Alkaline Trio....
  18. hey just realised this is all available for download on regular torrent sites... if anyone has the whole series already downloaded, would you be interested in a trade? i'm sure someone here must have them all... cheers ad

    iEverything

my next laptop will be a mac they run both OS's, therefore way more software, and are much better on battery life, service, design is great, price is comparable nowadays. i'd love to have all the regular windows stuff in addition to the cool apple software for the same price.
  20. According to my girlfriend, Rock Plaza Central name-dropped nero from the stage during their Saturday night Ottawa show. Something like 'we're all heading over to Mavericks for nero after we're done, so see you there' or something like that. Apparently they (or at least one of them with a microphone) are fans. Cool. AD
  21. I third the comment about the lights. Pure evil indeed.
