  1. awesome, this sounds like it will be a good game to watch, at least for Phoenix. Mutumbo is the backup for Ming? Funny story about Mutumbo: a former roomate's sister went to school in Denver when Mutumbo played for the Nuggets. She was at a bar when Mutumbo walked in. The DJ cut the music, everyone looked at the door to see what happened, there's Dikembe. He yells "Who's coming home with Dikembe?" and girls flock towards him. Apparently he took 5 or 6 home from the bar that night. thanks for your tips, i'll post a review after the game next week
  2. Get your ticket request in fast, taping is this Thursday: Hello Fuse fans - We've got a brand new taping in Ottawa to help kick off what's sure to be another great year in musical mashups. And both sides are already masters of twisting and turning genres... Join us on Thursday, Jan 11 at 7pm for the melding of the Creaking Tree String Quartet's bluegrass/folk/classical mix with Kevin Breit's masterful, bluesy guitar. Tickets, as always, are yours for the taking. Please do not reply to this email, but rather head on over to cbc.ca/fuse and fill out a request on our tickets page. See you on Thursday! The Fuse Team

    Nero Tickets

Mavericks replied saying that's how it was sent to them. No biggie. I'm sure everyone on this site knows what's happening. Not sure if the printed ones are wrong, I've never seen one. I kinda doubt it.

    Nero Tickets

Mavericks has the openers mixed-up for the online ticketing for the Nero weekend coming up. I've emailed them to say Lauzon is opening on Friday the 12th while Elbeejay is opening on Saturday the 13th. (I'm sure they know this but it confused some friends of mine who were trying to get tickets for Saturday).

    Love songs

Who says you have to be in love with a person? This is a perfect love song, classic lyrics, check out Live Killers for Roger Taylor's throaty ode to the vehicle. I'm In Love With My Car - Queen The machine of a dream Such a clean machine With the pistons a pumpin And the hub caps all gleam When I'm holdin your wheel All I hear is your gear When my hands on your grease gun Oh it's like a disease son I'm in love with my car Gotta feel for my automobile Get a grip on my boy racer rollbar Such a thrill when your radials squeal Told my girl I'll have to forget her Rather buy me a new carburetor So she made tracks sayin' This is the end now Cars don't talk back They're just four wheeled friends now When I'm holdin your wheel All I hear is your gear When I'm cruisin' in overdrive Don't have to listen to no run of the mill talk jive I'm in love with my car Gotta feel for my automobile I'm in love with my car String back gloves in my automolove
  20. Between 3 and 4 eastern today on Definitely Not the Opera (CBC Radio 1) they'll be playing a show from Final Fantasy. If you're wondering what all the Polaris hype was about, might be worth a listen. For the record, I don't 'get' this project, but I keep listening to see if I miss something. Oh well.
  21. do they have any music out there for people? sounds interesting fer sher.
