    Calendars!

no criteria. if it's a artsy performance of any kind, send it in. cooking display, soapbox rant on somerset, whatever. i'm sure someone will want to know about it. i'm not gonna start listing sports though, as artsy as a hip-check can get.

    Calendars!

the form idea is a good one, not sure if it's possible. i know i've discussed it with bouche momentarily but can't remember the outcome. punkottawa.com has a great form system for submitting shows. ideal really. i'd like to publically echo the request to see what's happening in february. i've been adding shows tonight but i'm getting into territory that i might have already entered, however there is no way that i can tell to advance the month in the viewable calendar. there are plenty of events in february, i've even added one for december 28, 2007! keep the suggestions coming, i don't want to do all this work and have it be useless. if you don't like something, let us know. if you do like something, let us know.
  3. i wish this was a shuffle where the shuffler clumsily loses some of the cards under the table and never picks them up.
  4. i think i've only met ollie twice, but they were both THE defining moments of my life. no wait... anyways, cheers
  5. a worthwhile new years' resolution indeed. good luck with it!
  6. at today's exchange rate that's $59,069.71 CAD "i'd rather a trip arond the world than a piece of vinyl, but thanks for the thought dad. now how do i logon to ebay?"
  7. great read again todd. i just remembered that i was at that new year's show. i was trying to recall the past couple new years over the holidays and couldn't fill that 2004 hole. thanks for filling my hole.
  8. You bastard. You totally ruined the surprise. I'm kicking you out of nero. Anyways, to get back on topic - I like nero, the shows back in the day were a great place to go and get drunk, listen to some crazy music and watch all the crazy people get drunk to crazy music.
  9. You have counterfeit tickets.
  10. I will be playing the drums for the reunion shows.
  11. professor on cbc radio one in ottawa is saying that the ice shelf collapse discussed above is due to an abnormally warm august 2005 (when the shelf collapsed). it was local though, the rest of the arctic was at average temperature. the ice shelf and global warming are two separate issues, they are just more noticeable in the same area of the world.
  12. Of course they realise that; they also realise that some not-too-hardcore fans or new people would be more than willing to shell out big time. it's a commodity.
  13. i'd be yelling at dave-o to change his underpants
  14. hahaha. i hope i'm not sitting next to you.

    Calendars!

i don't know what Bouche is planning for the calendar, but for the time being feel free to send me any listings you want on there. the info i've posted so far is pretty limited, but once it's not a hundred at a time i'll be adding more details such as ticket information, and other notable stuff.* *maybe
  18. Interesting thought for sure, but where does it start? Cameras in jail cells, mental wards, halfway houses? I like your thinking on this, it’s just too much of a slippery slope.
  19. That word will somehow be worked into the team's logo if nothing comes of this season.
  20. nobody is denying anything the way i read it, it's just that some people are confusing two separate yet equally important issues / new stories.
  21. maybe we can get bochenski and popo weenie on defense
  22. sunshine = weather weather does not equal climate isolated events such as a warm spell are not harbingers of global warming. (i am not a naysayer, just think that confusing issues helps no-one)
  23. Ottawa Senators general manager John Muckler announced that the club has acquired centre Mike Comrie from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for prospect Alexei Kaigorodov. The 26-year-old Comrie has played in 24 games with the Phoenix Coyotes this season, recording seven goals, 13 assists and 20 penalty minutes. In his last 10 games, he has three goals and five assists for eight points. Comrie has four multi-point games this season -- his last (a goal and assist) coming in a 8-0 win over the San Jose Sharks on Dec. 30. In six NHL seasons, Comrie has collected 110 goals, 127 assists and 252 penalty minutes in 345 career games with the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers and Phoenix Coyotes. The Edmonton, Alta., native was drafted by the Oilers in the third round, 91st overall, of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He played in Edmonton from 2000-01 to 2002-03 before he was traded to Philadelphia on Dec. 16, 2003. Comrie was then traded later in the 2003-04 season to Phoenix on Feb. 4, where he has played since. Comrie's best seasons to date came first in 2001-02 when he recorded 33 goals, 27 assists and 60 points in 82 games with Edmonton. He also played in the 2002 NHL YoungStars Game as part of NHL All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. Comrie had his second 30-goal season in 2005-06 with Phoenix, and added as many assists for another 60-point campaign. Comrie spent two seasons at the University of Michigan (Central Collegiate Hockey Association) from 1998-99 to 1999-2000, totalling 103 points (43-60) in 82 games. In his first collegiate season (1998-99), he was named CCHA rookie of the year and was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team and the CCHA First All-Star Team. In 1999-2000, Comrie was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award (as the National Collegiate Athletic Association's outstanding player) in addition to being named to the CCHA First All-Star Team and NCAA West Second All-American Team.
