  1. Steve Earle was in good form Sunday night in Hamilton. I have enjoyed ever different incarnation I have seen Earle perform over the years (the Dukes, the Del McCoury Band, solo, etc.) and last night was no different. The set was a nice mix from most of his albums. I was happy to finally hear something off of Earle's latest album which was a tribute to Townes Van Zandt surprisingly titled 'Townes.' And I was thrilled the song was "Pancho & Lefty." He also did Townes' "Rex's Blues" but that is on 'Just an American Boy' not 'Townes.' Another definite highlight was the performance of the song Steve Earle recorded for the HBO series 'Treme' called "This City." Earle also is a star on the show and it was good to hear that creator David Simon and HBO are going into their second season of the show about post Katrina New Orleans. Earle also said he will be recording a new album with the Dukes produced by T Bone Burnett this November and his wife Allison Moorer will be added to the band on keyboards. He said that after the filming of 'Treme' that they will hit the road next June and that they would be performing the Austin City Limits Festival as well as bonnaroo. A nice surprise to the gig was Earle covering Ian Tyson's "Summer Wages" in the encore. At the end of the song he mentioned it was a Tyson song and how Neil Young was a student of Tyson's, which was a nice touch. Peace, Tim

  4. It was a better Black Crowes gig than the last time I saw them at Seneca Allegany. That being said I can not wait to see them play the "Acoutic Hor D'oeuvres followed by an Electric Reception" at Massey Hall and the Best Buy Theater with the Music Box in between. 6. I'd be going to this gig if I were not already going to the Black Crowes in Seneca Allegany. I hope you all have a good gig. Peace, Tim
  7. Sufjan Stevens put on a phenomenal show. The new material from 'the Age of Adz' was fantastic. Videos were incorporated behind the eleven piece band to help tell the story of the new album. 'the Age of Adz' was inspired by the life and artwork of Royal Robertson and a lot of the videos showed his work. The whole show took material from 'the Age of Adz' as well as the EP 'All Delighted People' which came out in August and the show ended with three songs from his last "Fifty States Project," 'Come On Feel The Illinoise!" The opener Buffalo native DM Stith accompanied Stevens for the entire show minus "Enchanted Ghosts" on background vocals and sometimes piano. Sufjan Stevens is the complete package and I only wished I had seen him before. Though now I am sure I will see him again after this performance at Massey Hall. 9. I'm excited for next weeks Sufjan Stevens gig in Toronto. It will be my first time seeing him and I have wanted to for years. I may have a single available I should know by the weekend. Peace, Tim
  10. I got a pair for 12/31 and 1/1 and I'm waiting from replies from a couple of friends as to whether or not I got tickets for 12/30 or any repeats. Luckily I have a few friends that live in NYC so that always makes the trip more enjoyable and less expensive. Good luck to everybody with their attempts for the general onsale on Saturday. Peace, Tim

PM me or contact me by phone if you have my number if you are interested. Peace, Tim

  13. I'm glad Gregg Allman was able to get a liver transplant and I hope he will be health for years to come with his new liver. Alas, I'm disappointed I won't be able to see the Allman Brothers Band this weekend when I am at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago. Oh well, maybe Clapton and the Allman Brothers will perform together at bonnaroo next year. Tim
  14. I ended up crashing early last night by accident (sorry Laurie, I hope you had a Happy Birthday), so now I'm well rested for my drive to Pittsburgh to see An Evening With Wilco which wraps up their North American leg of their winter/spring tour. I'm looking forward to seeing for the first time Wilco with no opener, as all the previous gigs had opening acts. Peace, Tim
  15. I can't wait, I believe I can go and see Rush in Toronto on July 17! Moving Pictures front to back! I love how all these artists are playing their albums front to back in recent years. Peace, Tim
  16. I only could go to the first night as I needed to study for my final exam at McMaster this week. It was the first time I'd seen the Drive-By Truckers headline a gig I had seen them several times at Farm Aid and at bonnaroo over the years (2002, 2005, 2008 and 2009). I enjoyed the gig though I was still a bit tired from work and my weekend in Miami where I saw Paul McCartney and Leon Russell. I think I'm getting old. I was especially happy with "Ronnie & Neil" for obvious reasons. Peace, Tim
  17. Sorry about that Kanada Kev, I had to write my final exam at McMaster today but luckily for me Danielle came through for me and picked me up a single for Neil Young in Buffalo. I can't wait for my 49th Neil Young concert and first of 2010 which will keep my yearly Neil Young concert streak alive since I started seeing Young since 1993. And for the fact that he's touring solo acoustic again. Some of my all-time favorite gigs ever Neil Young or anyone else in the planet were the solo acoustic gigs in 1999. Peace, Tim
  18. Happy Birthday Laurie, I hope you have a great day and better year! Lots of Love, Tim
  19. I'm just killing time on the hotel computer while my girlfriend has a nap before we head off to see Sir Paul McCartney perform at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. I have to say I'm getting a little excited. This will be my 8th time seeing McCartney, yet for some reason it feels like the first time. I'm happy to say that this will be the first time I see Sir Paul outdoors where it is not raining at some point (Previously it rained in Liverpool in 08, Quebec City in line in 08 and in New York City in 09, you can see us in the crowd quite wet on the DVD). Well I'm off. More later. Tim
  20. Sorry brothers, All the tickets are spoken for so someone would have to drop out for spare tickets to become available. In 2007 tickets opened up nearing the festival, so hopefully you can score a pair there. Also in 2007 ticket demand from the scalper sites dropped so much the ticket prices were a lot closer to face value than anticipated. Goodluck, Tim
  21. Hey, Did you or anybody else get tickets for Crossroads 2010 today? I have a group of 6 on the GA Floor going right now. I can't wait to see Eric Clapton doing "Layla" and hopefully "Anyday" with the Allman Brothers Band! Tim
  22. It sold out last time in a few minutes, I'm not sure how few, but I'm pretty sure it was under a half an hour. Don't be slow on this one if you hope to go for face value. Tim
  23. Sweet the day after my birthday. I went to the last Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2007 and it was one of the greatest gigs I have ever attended. The line up is similar but with the Allman Brothers Band added to the bill I regreat a lot less missing Eric Clapton playing with the Allmans at the Beacon last year in NYC. Tim
  24. I wanted to see the Flaming Lips perform 'Dark Side of the Moon' in Oklahoma City this past New Years Eve and now I get to see Wayne and company continue their late night tradition at bonnaroo, I'm there. Add in the greatest R&B artist of all-time in Stevie Wonder, the biggest Hip Hop act of the past decade in Jay Z, the biggest North American touring act of the past decade in the Dave Matthews Band, rock and roll hall of famers (along with Wonder), John Fogerty, Jeff Beck and acts like the Dead Weather, Weezer, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, She & Him, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Calexico, Dave Rawlings Machine, Norah Jones, Jimmy Cliff, the Avett Brothers, Tori Amos, the Black Keys and Steve Martin I'm sure I'll find a way to pass my time again in Manchester, TN. I got my tickets today and whatever else they add will be icing on the cake. Tim PS Please please please Roger Waters performing the Wall and coming out with the Flaming Lips for Dark Side of the Moon, Neil Young, Paul Simon and the Jayhawks.
  25. One more sleep and we won't have to talk about the bonnaroo 2010 line-up being leaked. I can't wait to find out the line-up and in all likelihood order my tickets tomorrow. If the Flaming Lips are playing Dark Side of the Moon late night then I don't think I'll need much more to convince me to go. Though Neil Young, Stevie Wonder and Roger Waters performing the Wall would be nice as well. I'm also really hoping for the Jayhawks, one of the most underrated bands of the past twenty plus years. The Jayhawks playing bonnaroo would allow them to find a new generation of fans. Tim
