Just wondering if anyone in the Ottawa area has a need for wood shavings? It comes from a planer, so it's not fine like sawdust. When I was living up north, sometimes farmers would take it for animal stalls...we don't have enough for a big farm but we have a couple garbage bags full and I don't know what to do with it, figured someone might have a use for it. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Cheers!

Yeah it should still be warm enough to eat when you get home Brad. I used to make them when I worked in a deli...like ms hux says, no frills, just some spice and roasted...and you will def. have enough for leftovers.

Office team is probably one of the biggest around, they are the same company as The Affiliates (law) and Accountemp (accounting), so they cover various fields. I've used them in the past. You should also check out CharityVillage.com (they aren't a temp agency but have great job postings)

Longboards were invented as the first skateboards. The first boards that were ever made...inspired by surfing, looked like longboards. And it is Awesome. We don't do many customs except for friends and family mostly. We are making a 7foot board for a dude in BC, the woods is ordered…that one is a little pricy…(we have an 84inch board, this guy found out and wants one). Anyways, it would depend what you want. We use all hardwoods, not plywoods, we don’t use lots of graphics because the wood grain is so beautiful on its own (similar to Arbour boards…) If you want some more info email us at contact@bigwavelongboards.com What is expensive about longboards is the trucks and wheels. You are looking at about $140 for those alone (and bearings….), most boards go for about 230+tax so the markup isn’t that much. We sell our boards for about that, and our wood is more expensive then ply. We’ve had a few orders, mostly for the 42†and man that board is so sweet. The Goddess is great too...super flexy and so fast. It has a little kick tail which you can't see in the pic.

I'm alone at the office this afternoon, I'm feeling pretty tired and I could take a nap. Now, I wouldn't because I have too much work, I like my work and thinking about getting caught would prevent me from falling asleep....Have any of you fallen asleep at work? Did you get caught? (I did take a nap once while working at a sawmill in my youth, my boss hit me over the head (hard hat) with a shovel... not cool!)

I think that Johnny Winter should be on there. As far as The Band, most people I know who aren't really into Music (as in, they've never thought about the band behind the "solo artist") haven't ever heard of The Band.
