  1. We will be doing a re-showing of the silent classic film Nosferatu with live musical accompaniment on Friday, June 12th at the Mayfair Theatre (1074 Bank at Sunnyside). The first showing was a rousing success, and we're looking forward to doing it again. This is a show not to be missed! Show time is at 9:00, but I strongly advise showing up early, as the last time we did this, it sold out with half an hour to go, and there was a line-up of people who didn't make it in. Tickets are $10. Our all-vampire orchestra includes: Mike Dubue - bass Paul Hogan - guitar Mike Essoudry - drums, marimba, other percussion special guest cellist Jan Jarvlepp special guest gamelan ensemble Gamelan Semara Winangun Linsey Wellman - flute, bass clarinet www.myspace.com/linseywellman www.mayfairtheatre.ca

  3. If you're at the Days you're fine. If you stay at the casino itself you're not allowed to get drunk. We weren't staying at the casino and I got loaded and won $300 on roulette after the Allmans!
  4. Happy Birthday! I was partying with a friend of yours in MA. Nab says "Hi," which I feel safe in upgrading to: Nab says "Happy Birthday."
  5. kc, I think DT was 12 at that show. I was there that night and he slayed me.
  6. DO NOT STAY AT CASINO RAMA!!! Honestly, if you stay there the casino monitors your drinking - when their computers notice you've had more than one drink an hour security will accost you and insist on a time-out. They will even confine you to your room. I know it sounds impossible but I heard about it and then saw it first-hand. The casino is in the middle of nowhere with nothing else around it except the Days Inn, which is right across the street.
  7. I was talking to someone last night about this sort of thing where when Trey screws up somehow it often gets the biggest cheers of the night. I always put it down as NASCAR syndrome, kinda watching for the accidents sorta thing. This guy suggested it was more of an audience cheers when the injured hockey player stands up and is okay sorta thing, which is an interesting thought.
  8. I feel honoured to have heard the first Twenty Years Later, because I loved it from the first line. "I can hold my breath for a minute or so"
  9. Glad you had a great time Mr. By Night. Looks like a fun pile of songs to get down to. Did it rain?

  12. I am soooooo not one to predict a Phish setlist (it seems I hardly know the names of any of their songs), but if I heard YEM, Maze, Stash, and Contact all in the same show (like that '94 Red Rocks show) I would be a happy dude.
  13. It's pretty wild how one person can not catch a Maze after seeing 27 shows when I've caught it lots of times in the twenty or so shows I've seen. What was that website where you entered your shows and they gave you the stats?
  14. phorbesie and I will be there Friday night. Although they already played lots of songs she wants to hear, so maybe we'll bail. Smileyface. We'll be at the next night too, wherever that is.
