    NERO FRIDAY

What exit should a person use to get off in Pickering?
  2. Wow! Really? That is just terrible. I stopped watching bands on SNL for that very reason. (Most bands I want to see on there don't lip-synch, but there are certainly no guarantees that they'll actually perform; apart from the obvious like when Zappa appeared.)
  3. I didn't mean it as a compliment.
  4. I only have, and have only heard, Fun Trick Noisemaker, but I love it. It's a "transmission" to some satellite, re-routed back to Earth, dontcha know; lol. I don't know if I'll see them either, but it's certainly possible.
  5. I think you are making a presumption that my online-name has something to do with where I live. In actual fact, I've had that online-name since living in Kingston, and it is purely a translation of my last name into English. So, to answer your question ... "Nope."
  6. Sorry, I forgot to mention at the outset that the opinions of Pretenders-fans don't count.

    NERO FRIDAY

I know what you mean OB1. I will be leaving Toronto at around 4:00, and I am really hoping to catch Dave Lauzon opening up. That being said, it occurred to me that it really doesn't matter when everyone is playing. I will still be travelling as fast as possible and getting there as early as possible, and I can't see any way to get there any earlier, so ... let the chips fall where they may. Just do what I'm doing. Get yourself there as fast as possible, and brace yourself for the news that you missed the opening act.
  8. Aerosmith is a band that utterly irritates me. In fact, I am irritating myself just by writing this and thinking about them. On my way to work today, they were playing on the radio. They are often played on the radio. I cannot understand why. Level with me. Give me your thoughts on Aerosmith. Do you like them, hate them, indifferent? I just can't understand how they've existed all these years, even making a come-back in the late-80s; despite how they actually sound. So, the question of the day is: What are your thoughts on Aerosmith?
  9. This weekend; Ottawa. Presumably, you have no plans to be there.
  10. We shall see. I'm hoping to be on a plane to Whistler on the 12th of April, but the 11th could be workable. It sure would be fun ... Besides the music, TimmyB; live!
  11. Wow, there's a band I hadn't thought of in a few years. I guess I missed my chance to see them live. RIP.
  12. You mean the rest of us won't have the chance to bite you? That hardly seems fair.
  13. DJ: As I recall, Grateful Dead Merchandising (or some branch of the GD Empire) went on a bit of a rampage a while ago, asserting proprietary rights over these recordings, and they began to disappear one-by-one from the Archive. People went a little nuts for a while downloading everything they could before it all disappeared.
  14. Unfortunately, the Markham thing is true. I moved from Whistler in October. I still like to pretend I'm a west-coaster, though, and maintain my title as Moderator on this board. Alas, I merely stare longingly westward, while I look at my idle snowboard sitting dry in my basement in Markham. Go forth and enjoy the show, though, Ross. Report back!
  15. Robert Randolph, Seattle -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 7th at the Showbox.
  16. Ah. You did say that. My mistake, sorry.
