  1. Yes, it seems she smokes weed.. Let us all pray that she makes it through this trying time of substance abuse.
  2. Amy Winehouse arrested for marijuana possession Associated Press October 19, 2007 at 6:26 AM EDT OSLO — British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse was arrested in Norway for marijuana possession and held overnight, a police official said Friday. Winehouse, her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and a third person were released at around 7:00 a.m. Friday after paying $715 in fines, prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said. The trio were arrested shortly after 6 p.m. at a hotel in Bergen in southwestern Norway, where Winehouse is on a European tour, after a tip to police. “They were found with seven grams (about 1/4-ounce)of marijuana,†Lothe said. “She's paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now.†Winehouse was to perform in Oslo Saturday, before heading to the Netherlands on Monday. Winehouse made her U.S. debut this year with the acclaimed album Back to Black, but her celebrity has been fuelled by her tabloid image as well as her talent. She's spoken openly about her battles with drugs and her penchant for alcohol and marijuana, and her hit single Rehab is an autobiographical tale of her resistance to being pushed to go to rehab: “They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said no, no, no.†http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20071019.wwinehouse1019/BNStory/Entertainment/home

  13. Tickets for the Brampton show come to $33.21 by going through the Rose Theatre's site. Tickets for the Peterborough show through the Showplace Theatre's website come to $30.25. Both of the venue websites, as well as Harry's site, do not reflect that Kevin Breit is to perform. However, Kevin Breit's MySpace page says he is performing. Anyone have any insight about that? (Can'O?)
  14. Is it a house show? I'm trying to be a good student and stay in tonight.. It kinda has to be done. If I break down though and head out on the town, I'll give you a ring.
  15. Pulled from Kevin Breit's MySpace page (which I just found out existed): NOVEMBER 9 - Burlington, VT 10 - Brownfield, Maine 26 - Elliot Lake, ON 28 - London, ON (Aolian Performing Arts Centre) 29 - Brampton, ON (Rose Theatre) 30 - Peterborough, ON (Market Hall - Folk Under The Clock series) DECEMBER 5 - Sherbrooke, QC 6 - St. Hyacinthe, QC 15 - Quebec City, QC The Peterborough show is on a Friday and I think I'll definitely be heading up for that.. What better excuse to visit the best town in Ontario? I'm already drooling about breakfast at East City Diner. I may go to the Brampton show as well.. A lot of it depends on ticket prices, as I'm a broke student once again now.

  17. As if you knew you were making Ukranian borscht, bouche! Well it all sounds rather delicious to me. Blane, I thought you were already back in Montreal.. Are you just leaving Dakar now? Hard to keep track I tells ya. ps - I made this for lunch.
  18. Ahh cool, you've been to 'come down and meet the folks' eh?? I was introduced to that community through an American guy whom I connected with through the phish community (when i spent time in London in fall 2001). Back then they did it every Sunday.. I won't be visiting London anytime SOON... It would be late Summer / early Fall next year at the earliest. As for the Kev's Cuts, I'm working on a new one, #24, which should hit the net in the next month I would hope. At that point I think I'll post the whole lot of 'em online once again. Glad you like #22! Good luck with the moving.
