oh and...since there are 2 shows in each city, i guess that one is GALA and one is regular. i know this is what happened in other cities. has anyone here been to BOTH types (in a row) and is it very different? thanks

weird timing, the festival we went to this weekend actually had a workshop called Jamming Etiquette! i'm not sure if anybody hit that one up though...stuff seems kinda obvious. though i guess it isn't for some!

i didn't like the borscht but yummy perogies and great atmosphere! i love the place "toi moi et cafe" blane took me to near his place, i've gone back a few times for breakfast. great coffees as well. hmmm...is the street laurier? something with an L hehehe it's just off of parc.

the place on hawthorne (phat moose i think?) is cheap and they are nice and helpful, though a bit slow on the follow-through.

free tickets were being offered outside (though we already had ours) and also clearly a lot of elderly people were comped with their rooms or something. i have to say as great as the music was, the venue vibe killed some of the fun. i'll never go back to that venue. no drinks allowed during the show, the bar outside actually closed during the show so you had to run out into the casino and guzzle a drink if you wanted one. the place is like a high school gym with moveable bleachers and chairs. the sound was pretty good but something did get a little lost at times. there were "sitting ladies" stationed at each section corner and though i didn't really see them hassling anyone, just checking tickets, i did see them tell someone to sit down. the first night we were in the bleachers and no one around us even clapped, let alone stand up. it was really lame. some people even left partway through. the lights were really bad if you were sitting up there, we were constantly getting blinded. i kept my eyes closed a lot. the second night we were seated up front so we got to just walk up to the front and stand there, as others said already. this was ok but even though i started out right in front of greg playing guitar, the security dude kept coming by to make sure you were squished "in front of the white line" and so i found it tiresome to keep squishing in, and moved over to the oteil side. man i hated that venue!!

thanks so much! :) i had an awesome birthday mini-vacation! the shows were great. i now know why people were not enthused about this venue though....the venue suuuuuuuucked. but derek was still incredible and gregg's voice was sounding great. i forgot to keep a setlist (the one they have up for tues on the website is wrong) but we got lots of great tunes. nice to see you last night paisley. thanks for the bday wishes all and thanks velvet for the fun road trip! 32 is feeling fine and i can't wait to do some chill camping this weekend with some of youse. cheers!

we are unable to get to silver city theatre tonite as planned with others (NW,Del..) so we are gonna hit up the much closer empire 7 theatre instead. shows are at 7:10 and 9:55...not too sure which time we're going to yet..? does anyone else have plans to go? skanks, come out for this! it's gonna be fun.

last night was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy more fun than this morning is.

i don't think he came off badly in the interview at all. it was good and he was quite well spoken. and at least he gives a shit. he has always been opinionated. y'all are grumpy. (big surprise )
