  2. I still want to hear it. Who's got my heady link?
  3. It was fun and had it's moments, but otherwise, for lack of a better, overall description, it was a little meh...
  4. Does anyone have a link for this 8/7 Hood I keep hearing so much about?
  5. Just remember that a good amount of people here helped you out when you got out of the Don and had yourself a grand old episode. Don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that good stuff about bridges burning....
  6. I agree 2.0 had some epic moments, but as far as I'm concerned they were outweighed by the overall sloppiness and the "extreme lows" that popped up far too often. It all comes down to what sounds good to the individual though I guess....
  7. I think they're still playing extremely tight. Maybe not as experimental or adventurous as they're and our younger years, but solid all the way through. They're musicianship hasn't deteriorated at all. Most of all, they're playing 10X better than they were during they're brief, post-hiatus comeback. Like any band that's been around as long as they have, there are ups and downs. I think they're hit a nice plateau, and at least it's good and high...
  8. Keep in mind it was produced by Nickelodeon. The visuals are great but the story line and banter are a little rough to sit through...
  9. He was probably thinking about his insurance premium...
  10. That's awesome news dude. Good luck and keep us posted...
  11. I would love the ticket. Please let me know if you still have it either here or ikoudstaal@gmail Much appreciated either way...
  12. Tarrytown is NY, on the Hudson River. Used to live in that area of the Tri-State... Last night was off the hook! Love these guys and definitely hope the feeling's mutual and they make their way back soon. It just may have been the first time I've seen the Phoenix get down like that... p.s. Anyone jot down a setlist?
  13. Classic. "Never judge a book by it's cover... unless I'm on it... or a cobra..."
  14. It's kind of a hike; about 3 km. But if you're looking to drink while you walk, it's a match made in heaven. Otherwise take the Yonge line up to College, walk east to Sherbourne and then North to the venue...
  15. Just picked up tickets tonight. Can't wait to see these guys play...
  16. From TheOnion.com Dylan goes Electronica NEWPORT, RI—Audience members at the Newport Rock Festival were "outraged" Monday when rock icon Bob Dylan followed up such classic hits as "Like A Rolling Stone" and "Maggie's Farm" with an electronica set composed of atonal drones, hyperactive drumbeats, and the repeated mechanized lyric "Dance to the club life!" "We came here to see the authentic Dylan, the one with the Stratocaster guitar and signature wild blues-rock band behind him," audience member Robert Hochschild said. "Then he walks out with these puffy headphones, some turntables, and a laptop? The guy's a Judas." When asked later about his musical transformation by reporters, Dylan said he had nothing to say about the beats he programs, he just programs them.
  17. Awesome Brad. Congrats and thanks; sounding great...
  18. Great show last night. One hell of a round trip drive from Toronto and I'm exhausted and elated all at the same time. Highlights were definitely Bertha, Wharf Rat, Bobby's pink guitar and the jam into Help On The Way. I was shocked at how few people there were and how much room there was. Huge thanks to bONES for the ticket and company. Nice running into / meeting Boiler Rat too. Ottawa ain't all bad...
  19. Anyone have any good tips on parking? I'm planning on making a roundtrip, in 'n out for Further. Shooting for Rockstar Parking....
