  1. Whatever floats yer boats. I'm anything but close minded when it comes to music. My tastes have matured like a fine wine or scotch. Once you've taken a sip of a fine scotch, you'll never like that Johnny Walker Red again. I could have made a wishy washy statement on my last comment but thast would have been boring. I was telling the truth though, I will never go see Lady Gaga. If she was the ocean, my boat would be on a lake.
  2. I'll tell you what I'm not listening to and that's Lady Gaga.
  3. Like seriously, can't this be discussed on some other board? I have no idea what goes on in the Pop world but if I did want to find out about it, I'd listen to the the local AM radio station, whatever that is. Next thing you know it zero will pop in and tell us Jay-Z is some kind of demi-God. Does anybody know what's going on with My Morning Jacket or somebody else that's actually cool? Lady Gaga= not cool, except for the millions of people who think that mainstream = cool. I would NEVER go see Lady Gaga. I don't care how talented she is, N-E-V-E-R. just my worthless 2 cents.
  4. There's way more controversial art out there that doesn't get censored. Controversy brings about public discourse, which is a good thing, in a free society. Art almost should be controversial. Leave it how it was meant to be. I think Knopfler was probably very aware of what he was doing. That being said, sometimes artists can be wrong and can "correct" their lyrics ie. Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. But shouldn't that be up to the artist themself to change the art?
  5. Man, I only went out, give or take, a half doz. times or so, some of them were festivals, so I would have seen a few there. I can only really remember that I saw the Truckers once or twice and Furthur. I think I did alright, all things considered. Saw the regs. for a south western Ont. boy.

    Azz Whoopin'

I walked into daycare today to pick up my boy and one little brat made a comment that made me want to give the little shit an ass whopping. I restrained myself though, didn't think it would go over with the daycare staff very well. So, I don't believe in whopping your owns kid ass, but random people and "other" parents, uncles, aunts whatever, should be allowed to smack other peoples kids when these kids are being punks. A person should be beaten into acceptable social behaviour by society from a very, very young age. How else is there to stop all that drunk driving?
  7. I can't believe I got sucked into reading this thread. Burn it all, make electricity to run your ipads. Seperate out the tires and cans, everything else, in the cooker, fuck it all. Throw the damn drunk drivers in too, why the hell not? They're gonna burn anyway.
  8. I think this may be my favorite piece of vinyl I have.
  9. That's bullshit. sorry to hear that Dave. Kick soimebodies ass.
  10. Christmas at Booches: Guest: "Happy Holidays Booche" Booche: "Fuck you happy fuckin holifuckindaze" Guest: "Fuck ya then, merry fucking christmas" Booche: "Go fuck yourself." Guest: "What about New Years?" Booche: "Fuck New Years" Guest: "Wanna get drunk?" Booche: "What the fuck is the matter with you? I've been drunk since Tuesday." Guest: "Well lets do some more shots then." Booche: "Happy Holidays, I fucking love you man, like seriously I love you dude." Guest: "I love you too man, lets go to your room and have man sex" Booche: "Best Christmas ....EVER"
  11. Technics are not the top of the turntable food chain. I would think Thorens to be a little more high end. What kind of cartridge is on the table phunkyb? The factory cartridge on that turntable is probably worth about $40.00 If the cartridge was ever upgraded it could be worth quite a bit more.
  12. free beer and admission if you dress up as a cat? Sweet deal, meow.
  13. Thanks, It's my honour to make a donation and to bump this thread.
  14. I've taken project manegment courses so I can handle that, I may have to charge more than 15* $150 though. I do however accept cheesies and weed as payment for my services.
  15. Without trying to gush to much about DBT, cause I know my love for this band borders on the truly ridiculous but whatever. I've really grown to love the art of Wes Freed. He really is the 8th member of the band. Does anybody know of any artists as closely tied to a band or musician? Page O'Freed Google Image Search
  16. Like I said, I have to decide on which relative I like the least.
  17. Now I just have to decide who's not getting a Christmas present now.
