  4. Thus far that I know of they are on the bill for Mountain Jam and Wanee. Hope to hear of some more dates as well. Mountain Jam is shaping up nicely to my eyes
  5. In! With a few folk. Birthday weekend for me. What time are you guys on Mike?

  9. Ah yes. That makes sense. Curious, why the booh? Not a Phil fan?
  10. Wish Lock'n was actually in the summer time. Really bad timing for anyone with kids in school, or anyone who teaches... wah wah.
  11. This jazzfest lineup is insanely good. Virginia fest? Never heard of it...

  13. I'll bite. Can't think of many Canadian cities off the top of my head that have the vibe, culture, passion, diversity of experience for the taking, all while remaining relatively affordable, than Hamilton. Even the area's natural beauty is a force to be reckoned with. Its grit is part of its appeal in my mind. I think overall it has been evolving in a positive direction and music has been a big part of that. I miss the Hammer and always enjoy coming home.
  14. This can only be good for Hamilton I should think. Nice.
  15. This makes me sad...though not surprising I suppose. Peach Fest was already on my radar too and I would say this makes it even more so.
  16. I like Buckeye Lake...but our epic trek to set up acreage of camp in the woods definitely resulted in us having an amazing set up which was a huge factor. If we had stayed on the sloping, TOTALLY rammed, corn stock-filled field they had initially put us in it would have been a really different experience. I loved the optics and feel of being nestled in the concert bowl itself...great eye candy and nice and intimate. But I wasn't there last year and I can imagine the downside of the fishbowl scenario in the heavy rain. I'm really surprised to hear that they are not doing a festival at all this year. That leaves a huge void...the whole hiatus thing is not particularly encouraging, but I sure do hope they manage to bring it back.
  17. How strange....I found Oteil's statement to be a little elusive as well. Sounds like some options have certainly been explored. Hope they have a few more years of short stints in them yet.... Take me to the Beacon!!
  18. Happy birthday Velvet! I'd say do it up in style but sounds like that's well taken care of. Enjoy!
