  1. anyways, Selig says no, so whatever. just another moment locked in lore now. i had an ump once apologize to me for a blown "out" call, while his arms were still outstretched calling it safe.. like, he literally made the call, immediately knew his mistake and said "sorry, scotty" while holding the safe call. fucking surreal. elimination play-off game in my last season, that guy came around to score and we lost by that run. baseball's a motherfucker sometimes.
  2. you picked a helluva day to retire.
  3. Galarraga got :surprise: Selig should overturn the call and give him the first (only) 28-out perfect game in history. Bud has the power. It's the "right" thing to do, it'll further the conversation for instant replay, and it wont affect the outcome of that game whatsoever.
  4. once upon a time this place used to be a music message board.
  5. i hope he left his cape and septor to JB. and a smaller one for KG. r.i.p.
  6. yep - all that info is there. if you click the thumbnails to view the images you'll see it. cheers...

  10. here you go... both nights. so long as you're ok with m4a files... also, that would be Jeff "???" Heisholt on the organ there, at the end of night 2.. great sets, enjoy!
  11. speaking of frat boys...
  12. yeah, killer - better than any plaskett show i've seen in the last 10+ years, easy. loved the set, almost 2hrs for a band who's entire catalogue is barely 2 and a half - not much more they could have played! so good to hear those tunes live and loud and crunchy as fuck again. damn, i missed that band - hope this ignites something so its not another 10+ years... didnt really see anyone last nite, but AD, i did catch your sideburns rockin' out about 10 people ahead of me, hahah... does that place always get that intensely crowded? i'd never been to the capital, but i was mostly annoyed with it and the 3 inch radius i had for the bulk of the nite. if i had rocked as hard as i wanted to, i likely woulda broke my nose on someones cranium.
  13. if you can handle gian, elliot brood is the live guest on Q today - and they're killin' it right now. tune in...
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpQ9O4viz-s edit: and another - this guy looks like he's got a lot of good stuff...
  15. YES YES YES! what a show! didnt really like the highway to hell tour closer, but no splitting hairs here - set 1 raged my face, set 2 melted it off. all in all, a great nite for eating paper.
  16. also gettin' spac'd. basically salivating.
  17. hey, longtime no type.... i loved that NYC Bowery show.. i thought they rocked it out pretty hard, and it was the craziest ending to a slip show i've ever seen - almost immediately, a full on michael jackson dance party breaks out on the floor! wicked! couldn't stop till we got enough... really enjoyed the new tunes and cant wait to see how they grow, as they always do with these guys. and the man in the mirror tease with the crowd singing during the paper birds outro/breakdown was the icing on the cake. great crowd, great energy, all in all, a great night. dr. dog killed the next night, too, but the curfew was 10:30pm, so it was kinda short. killer, but short. go see them if you can. hang on > my friend was the showstopper for me, and i heard them do a really stripped down The Man In Me during soundcheck that i was hoping they'd bust out during the set... maybe next time. mr. m, thanks again for the heady hook-up - cant wait to hear the shows.... alright, back to my hole....
  18. i imagine its been years since you shaved your balls. once a wook, always a wook. too bad these shows fall on the same dates as the reds vs. jays in toronto. for sure they'll play montreal eventually, so i'll wait till they're closer... and hopefully a little more polished.
  19. happy birthday, craig - hope it's a great year for ya.
  20. great game today, too bad we couldnt pull it out in the end. i bet the energy in the dome was incredible, though. glad you all got to meet joey votto - not bad, eh?
